The Birthday Monster - SSSC84 sketch

I giggle just looking at this one... I picked up this stamp about a week ago at a local stamp show and couldn't wait to use it for a Halloween card... but when I started trying to make a birthday card for my bestee, it just seemed the perfect stamp to work with, since our birthdays are coming much too fast now-a-days.
I got the stamp from RubberNecker/Stamp Oasis... In fact, I think their booth was the one I spent the most money at. He was fun to color with my Copics... Added some glaze to his eyes, nails and teeth and popped him up on a computer generated sentiment. I kept trying to add more, but it seemed complete as is. So, I called it quits. Thanks to Sweetest Things for the inspiration sketch!

Card Patterns 80 - Inspiration Card

When I first found this stamp from RubberStamp Avenue, I was so drawn to the whimsical feel. It is so different from most of the stamps I use, but I knew I wanted to play around with it. I started with stamping it on a scratch piece of paper, then pulled out my Copics and started doodling on it...before I knew it, I was loving the results. I ended up using the "practice" one because I was so happy with the way it came out. I added a bunch of micro glitter to sections and some laquer to her lips and eye. I let the sketch from Card Patterns be my jump start on the design, but I can definitely call it my own.
I screams "Torrey" to me... Not quite sure why, except that she is my inspiration! She inspires my creativity in ways no one else can or does. So, when I actually conquer a challenge, she's probably the inspiration behind it.
