CYP 86 - Tis the Season - Simply Betty

I love the adorable images over at Simply Betty Stamps - so creating a card this week for our challenge at Craft Your Passion Challenges was such a pleasure... This cutie was a breeze to color in red and turquoise Copics... I accented her with an off colored yellow/green and white as a neutral to really make her pop. I added some hand stitching and some snowflakes cut from a Winter Wonderland Cricut cartridge. The sentiment was also from a holiday Cricut cartridge. I love the color combination and finding some great Die Cuts with a View printed papers that matched was easy with all their wonderful paper packs.

Our challenge is great to get a jump start on those X-mas cards you all need to make... So, come show us what you can do. You might get a chance to win some fun new digi's from Simply Betty!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Paper Sundaes - #97 - Winter Wonderland
One Stitch At a Time- #90 - Red
Joyful Stamper - Inspire Me Friday #34 - Linky Party
Deep Ocean Challenges - #13 - "C" - Christmas
Charisma Cardz - #46 - Snowflakes
Make it Monday - #65 - Linky Party

Delicious Doodles #7 - Hairy Legs

Hairy legs? The challenge this week over at Delicious Doodles is hairy legs... That one made me laugh - I thought maybe our design team had lost their minds (or in my case, just looked down). The challenge could include anything with hairy legs... animals, hubbies, spiders, etc.

I picked this new image from Teri that reminds me of Happy Feet. I fell in love with these adorable penguins and they just seemed the perfect image for a manly card. The image only needed the yellow highlights on the penguins and a little blue on the icebergs to color it. I dry embossed a raised frame in the lighter blue and then kept the card very simple in design. I felt like the image didn't need much as far as embellies. Just a sweet Hampton Arts sentiment and matching ribbon.

Come join the challenge - let's see what crazy thing you can come up with for hairy legs!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

The Joyful Stamper - Inspire Me Friday #34
Moving Along With the Times - Ribbon / Bows
Rainbow Ladies - Card for Men - #180
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes - #89

Enjoy your week!

Hugs,
Jodi

CYP Challenge #85 - Doodle Pantry

Our challenge at Craft Your Passion this week is a fall theme picture inspiration... Using this adorable image from Doodle Pantry fit the inspiration even before I started coloring... I picked some design papers that didn't have a lot of orange in them, which really made the image pop. I added the bubbly sheer bow to help tie it all together...

Come join our challenge this week - I'd love to see what you can come up with!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make It Monday - #64 - Linky Party

Delicious Doodles - #6 - Remembrance

I was so excited to have a day to spend with my parents yesterday - having them live close by is such a blessing - and one I take for granted too often. I had the pleasure of spending the day working with my daddy on teaching him how to restore some old photos and crafting with my mommy...making cards together. What an awesome way to spend a day... They both mean so much to me and I am very honored to have them as my parents.

This is the card I made while playing in mom's craft room. I love these images from Teri (over at Delicious Doodles Shop). Her sketching ability is amazing and I am so jealous of her talents. Our challenge at Delicious Doodles Challenges this week is "Remembrance". I think these images go together so nicely and made for a lovely sympathy card for my stash. I colored them very lightly with chalk, just to give the hint of color... added some great paper from my stash (no clue who makes it), some ribbon and a simple sympathy stamp I recently got from the $1 bin.

Pop on over to the site for some inspiration by our design team - they've blown me away yet again! Join in the challenge for a chance to win some great images from Delicious Doodles!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Make it Monday - #60 - Linky Party
Fab'n'Funky Challenge - #98 - All White in the Night
Paper Sundaes - #93 - Rectangles
DYSU Challenges - #45 - Inspired by a Song (How Great Thou Art)
Sir Stampalot Challenge - Nov - Blue/Green

CYP 83 - Brown - Sassy Studio

It's challenge time again - Craft Your Passion Challenges has a new sponsor, Sassy Studio. I loved the images they provided to us to design with this week. I picked this one probably because it's how I'd like to be spending this Monday morning instead of headed off to work.

I used my Prisma's on kraft paper to color the image before I silhouette cut her out. I kept the design simple as I wanted to convey that relaxed attitude. Finally had a chance to use this awesome crocheted ribbon/lace I bought years ago but never used...

Our challenge this week is to use the color brown - how easy is that? Come join us for a chance to win some great images from Sassy Studio.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Make it Monday - #62 - Mr. Linky Party
Ribbon Carousel Challenge - #RCC27 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by - Happy Monday!
