Just for fun...

I had fun with this one... it was just one of those that came together easily.  I love the festive way it came out.  I used an older image from Meljen's Whimsy stamps - she has some great images that have such a distinctive style.  He turned out so cute!  I colored him with my Copics, added scrap papers and a fun loopy frame cut with my Cricut.  The sentiment stamp is one I have had for years and years and never had a use for it until now.  I found some fun scraps of rickrack and pompoms to finish it off.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Anything goes
Card Crafters Circle  - Anything goes
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
Little Red Wagon - Add a square
Party Time Tuesday - Anything goes

Fabulous Friday - Tiddly Inks

Just a quick post before I head out to finish my X-mas shopping - yes, I'm one of those that will flock to the mall today in hopes of finding the perfect last minute gift.  I hate that I am as far behind as I am, but life has been a little crazy this year.

Over at Tiddly Inks we have our inspiration Friday cards up... just a sampling of some images available to purchase... I love seeing what this great team comes up with and am always inspired by the level of talent.  So head on over to check it out.

Here's my card for the week... I used this adorable image called "Genius".  Doesn't he just make you smile?  I love this image.  I kept the card fairly simple, adding just a simple tri-fold and some stitching.  I cut the sentiment using my Cricut and left it so that it shows through when the card is closed.  Simple but oh so cute.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Totally Gorjuss - Easy does it
Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Anything goes
The Crafty Pad - Friendship/Keep in touch/Goodbye
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything goes
Paper Play Challenges - Out with the old, in with the new (new stamp)

Tiddly Inks Challenge Time - Make it like Pops

Oh my heavens, am I really that far behind?  I guess I am....  ugh!

This challenge was supposed to be posted a couple of days ago, but my life has taken some interesting turns lately and obviously I am a little behind.  Luckily you have two weeks to join in, so there's still plenty of time to participate in all the fun!

Our challenge this week at Tiddly Inks is an inspiration one...

We have a great card from Pops to use for the inspiration.

I picked a great image from the "boys" section called "Ricky - Fishing Expert".  We have a lot of fisherman in my family, so having this card in my stash will definitely come in handy some day!  I decided to use Pop's card as a sketch to follow since I loved the design so much, but you can use the colors, the image, the sketch, anything that inspires you about her card.  (For more from her, jump on over to her great blog here!)

I colored the image with my Copics, cut a cute postage stamp mat out using a Cricut cartridge, picked some papers out of my stash and stole Pops idea of making it into a simple easel card.  They are so easy to make and have such a special feel to them.  I don't do it often enough...

Hop on over to the Tiddly Inks blog and join in the fun this challenge.  We have plenty of great cards to inspire you and there's always the opportunity of winning some great images from the store.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Inky Impressions - Use something old (old papers, old buttons)
Simon Says Stamp - What's your favorite (Copics)

Pin and Tack - Anything goes

CYP #140 - Stitching

It is with sadness that I am posting my last card as an active member of Craft Your Passion Challenges.  Life seems to be getting in my way lately, keeping me from creating as often as I like.  But, life goes on... I'll be back (Jenn has promised I can come back) and maybe guest design there or something like that.  But for now, after 70+ challenges, this will be my last inspiration card for them.

I got to pick our theme this week and I picked "Stitching"... This can be real or faux and on any kind of project.  I went very clean and simple, not something I am ultimately very comfortable with, but really enjoy! I love how this one came out - just "simply elegant" and eye-catching.

I used a Bazil stitching template to punch the flower before stitching it with black thread.  A simple ribbon and small sentiment finished it off.

I'd love to see your take on stitching for this challenge.

I'll be entering this project in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Stamps & Fun - No Christmas

Kenny K - #123 - Silver / White

It's challenge time at Kenny K's - and we have made this one a little harder... White / Silver (except for skin and hair)... I decided to try my hand at coloring black and white on this image Mistletoe.  She came out pretty grey on my first attempt, but the one turned out nicely.  I added glitter to her fur and put her on top of a great metallic silver paper with white glitter circles.  I added a sponge snowflake and then a glitter on top of that to each circle.  I completed it all with a fun silver ribbon and a sentiment stamped and covered in glitter.

Now I want to see what you can do with white and silver.  We have some great prizes from our sponsors including Kenny K and Marianne Designs.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Card Making Mamas - Silver or Gold
Totally Gorjuss - Oh no snow
Card Crafter's Circle - December celebrations
Wags N Whiskers - Anything goes
Paper Crafting Journey - Christmas projects

Inspiration Friday - Tiddly Inks

The design team over at Tiddly Inks has a treat in store for you... On Friday's we post a plethora of cards to inspire and treat - and this week is no disappointment!  Plus, Christy has drawn up a new image that I can't wait to work with - he's an adorable little dude!  Jump over to the site to check it all out.

This image of Minnie's Christmas Lights just makes me giggle.  She's such a unique and special character and I love the way the lights have attacked her on this one.  I used my Copics to color her.  The little lights have a sparkle of fine gold glitter pen, and then are covered with crystal lacquer.  The paper is from The Paper Studio and the sentiment stamp from my stash.

I will be entering this cutie in the following challenges:

Craft Us Crazy - It's beginning to look a lot like...
C.R.A.F.T. - Christmas
Charisma Cardz - Christmas
PaperPlay Challenges - Christmas
Paper Crafting Journey - Christmas
