Copic Marker Scrapbooking - Love Fest

Kathy Zaban has designed another great set for Copic Marker Scrapbooking. It's a Valentine's Day set and so adorable. I picked a couple of them to make these cards, but you can check out all of the design team's inspiration at Making Our Mark. Stop by and check them all out!

I used my Copics (what else?) to color these images. The top card is made with DCWV papers, American Traditions ribbons, and the scallop border punch and sentiment stamp from EK Success. The cupcake card is a tri-fold card with a Cricut cut oval flower cut twice and folded over the edges of the folds. I added a little ribbon and some little glitter pen details to highlight. The inside sentiment stamp is another EK Success one. All the papers on this one were just from my stash of scraps.

I will be entering the "I just love you" card into the following challenges:

Make it Monday - #74 - Linky Party

Stamps R Us Challenge - Valentine / Love

Paper Makeup Stamp - #21 - Digi Makeover - Be My Valentine

Paper Sundaes - #105 - Valentines

CYP 95 - Beary Wishes - Crafty Sentiments

This week has been quite a challenge - that's why I am excited to see Monday come again... It's a new week! Time for a fresh start! Also time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion. This week we got a chance to work with some adorable images from our sponsor Crafty Sentiments - just too cute. Our theme is Beary Wishes - your project must have bears on it. I picked this cutie-patootie image with this sweet fuzzy bear sitting on a giant mushroom. I colored him with my Copics, and distressed the edges with sepia ink. Isn't he precious? I added a bunch of layers of My Minds Eye design papers, a hand-stitched zigzag border and a simple metal sentiment. It's truly a simple design, but it looks like I spent hours. I love that in a card!

Go dust off your bear stamps or hunt through your digi's and find that bear image - then create away and join us at Craft Your Passion Challenges. You'll be entered for a chance to win some great prizes, including images from Crafty Sentiments and a $10 voucher for Robins Nest.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Karen's Doodles - #97 - Cute and Cuddly
Pollycraft Monday - #125 - Favorite Things (I love love love this set of papers)
Make it Monday - #74 - Linky Party

CYP 94 - Color Bingo - Limited Runs

Craft Your Passion has a new challenge! We are trying something new... Color bingo! I picked the green, brown, blue combo for this adorable image from Limited Runs. Isn't he just too cute? I colored him using my Copics, but left a lot of white space and less blending than normal. I kept the card simple this time around, using some cute papers from my stash, some cork paper, and a craft card background. The tig is real, from my front yard tree and the sentiment is from Hampton Arts. The banner is hand cut from scraps and strung on some cute yarn that looks a lot like bakers twine. I finished the card with some thin black outlines on all the layers, giving it a final detail.

Check out the challenge site for our color bingo chart and some great inspiration from our design team. Join us this week for a chance to win three images from Limited Runs and a $20 gift voucher from Simon Says. Great prizes this week, huh?

Delicous Doodles - #11 - Winter Wonderland

It's time for another great challenge over at Delicious Doodles...and although it's nearing 60 degrees here in Colorado on this beautiful January day, I know that we are still in the middle of winter... and that any day now we will be covered in the white winter wonderland that comes so often this time of the year. That's our challenge this week - "Winter Wonderland". Teri has some amazing new images that are perfect for this challenge. I used this great one called Katarina, but she's done three in this series... Head over to the challenge blog for some awesome samples from the design team. I promise you will be inspired! Join this week for a great chance at winning some of Teri's images from Delicious Doodles.

I used a Provo Craft embossing stencil for the background of my Copic colored and fussy cut image. Then I cut a bunch of snowflakes using my Cricut. I put those on top of the embossed image to add another layer of frosty delight. They then got a little dose of glitter glue as well. The papers were just out of my scrap stash. I added some handstitching and the sentiment stamp is a Studio G dollar bin find.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Stampavie and More - #160 - Winter
Addicted to Stamps - January - Blue
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Snow
Dare to be Sassy Thursday - #108 - Winter colors
Pixie Cottage - #104 - Embossing

CYP #93 - In the Bag/Box - Bugaboo

It's Monday again... Most the time that brings dread and groans, but on the bright side it also means another challenge over at Craft Your Passion... Yeah! That's right, a reason to enjoy Mondays!

The challenge this week is "In the Bag/Box". We want to see you design a bag or box and then decorate it! There are some great ideas over at the Craft Your Passion Challenge blog... Our design team did amazing work this week coming up with some inspiration for you to enjoy!

I used my handydandy-easypeasy Cricut for my bag. I love these little treatbags. They go together so simply. I used this adorable image from Bugaboo (our sponsor for this challenge), colored with Copics, and fussy cut out. Isn't she just too cute? I added some clouds cut out from a design paper in my stash and created a simple tag with the sentiment. I think this would make a fun party favor for a kids birthday, stuffed with gum, candy and treats.

I hope you'll join us this week - I would love to see what you can create with our theme this time around.

I will be entering this into the following challenges:

StampsRUs - Just Kidding Around
Make It Monday #72 - Linky Party
The Pink Elephant - #TPE131 - Favorite Color Combo - Green/Blue
CRAFT Challenge - #137 - Celebrations

CYP #92 - Mythical Creatures - A Day For Daisies

Our sponsor at Craft Your Passion this week is one of my all time favorite digital stamp designers, A Day For Daisies. She has such a unique and whimsical style that evokes such a feeling of being in a fantasy world. I just love designing with her stamps.

Our challenge this week is "Mythical Creatures" - something A Day For Daisies has a ton of great images to match. I thought this sweet little mermaid made an adorable birthday card with her bouquet of balloons. These design papers are from Recollections, the sentiment stamp from TCP and the image is colored with Copics. Simple but sweet!

You should pop over to Craft Your Passion and join us this week. The winning card will receive a great prize from A Day For Daisies and I would love to see your creations!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Delicious Doodles #10 - New Year - All Things New

Delicious Doodles is ringing in the new year with a great challenge - New Year - New Things! That was an easy one for me since Teri has been busy creating some wonderful new images. I love this image called "Fallen" - it made me think of someone who was down and needed a lift to believe again. So, I made it into an encouragement card - wishing someone a miracle. I colored her with my Copics and layered her on some great DCWV design papers. The shape is a Cricut cut (as is the star frame) that I just made into a shaped card that turned out kinda cool. The large stars are slightly scored and molded to give them some dimension.

So, it's time to show off what you got for Christmas or find a new image you haven't used yet... Come join us for this challenge and you may just win some great prizes from Delicious Doodles.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Incy Wincy #127 - Anything Goes
Shelly's Images - In with the New
Rainbow Lady's Challenges - #186 - Travel through 2012
Inky Impressions - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamps - New Something

Just for me... Create With TLC card

I love working on the design teams that I am currently on - I wouldn't be doing it if I didn't... But I have to admit that occasionally I love working on something "just for me". You know what I mean... when you see a stamp and it is just singing to you, so loud and clear! Well, recently I discovered a site "Create With TLC" and there were sooooo many of her stamps doing just that! Singing to me!!

Paulette is amazingly generous with freebies on her sight and her ability to match her word art sayings and designs with her vintage images is pure talent. I found this adorable bubble image over there and couldn't wait to get a chance to work on a card with it.

I kept the vintage feel as well as keeping it fairly simple in design so that the image would remain center focus. I used a lot of sepia ink to tone all my colors down and in keeping with the vintage feel. The bubbles were so much fun to color (using my Copics of course). I used very light tones of turquoise, violet and yellow to give them the translucent sheen look. I added touches with my glitter pen, then covered them all with glossy accents. The lace has been inked to age it and the cheese cloth torn apart to give just a hint of ragged edges behind the image.

I hope you stop over to Create with TLC and check out all Paulette is doing over there. You won't be disappointed.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Sketch N Stash - #78 - Sketch

Make it Monday - #70 - Linky party

Paper Sundaes - #101 - Something old & something new

Card Crafter's Circle - #3 - Anything goes

CYP #91 - Anything Goes + Distressing - Paper Shelter

Happy New Year! I hope everyone out there had a wonderful holiday season and I hope 2012 is your best year ever!

The weeks are flying by and we are on to another challenge already at Craft Your Passion. This week is our "anything goes" plus distressing challenge. We have several great sponsors including the Paper Shelter.

I got a chance to work with this delightful image of a beautiful ballerina. I found these wonderful papers that I thought would go terrifically with the serene feeling of the image. I colored her with my Copics and then added some glitter to her skirt. Then I fussy cut her out and placed her on the handstitched oval frame.

I punched the scallop border, added a bubbly bow that I had died to match and some cut-out flowers from the same design papers. Everything got a layer of stippled distress antique ink to give it an aged feel and add the distressed touch.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday -#70 - Linky party

Paper Creations Ink - #16 - Die cuts / punches

Paper Sundaes #101 - Something old and something new (new image, old papers, distress ink)

One Stitch at a Time - #94 - Use a digi

Card Crafter's Circle - #3 - Anything goes

The Paper Shelter - Tie a bow

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your week...
