Wedding Card

We have a wedding coming up this next weekend and I took this afternoon to make the card to give to the bride and groom... (hoping they don't see it on my blog, hehe).
I found this adorable image on a free site and couldn't resist it - I love Precious Moments images and it was so much fun to ink up.  I kept the card simple in design, adding some wedding type elements to finish it off.  I think it turned out pretty darn stinkin' cute!

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - #87 - Linky Party
Incy Wincy - #143 - Girlie

Paper Sundaes - #118 - Ribbon and Pearls

Delicious Doodles #18 - Bingo - Purple punklove

I am a day late (and a dollar short) on this one... family emergencies kept me busy this weekend, but Haley is on the mend and hopefully will be back to normal soon!

So, here's my card for the Delicious Doodles Challenge #18 - a bingo board challenge.  Drop by the site and take a look at the great inspiration from our wonderful design team and to see the bingo board.  On this one, I actually used the die cuts/Delicious Doodlges image/glitter line on the bingo board to make this card using Steampunk Sally.  I love the way it came out and any girl holding a gun saying "Thinking of You" has my vote!  Love it!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Southern Girl Challenge - #43 - Get Your Girly On
Crafty Catz Weekly - #130 - Anything Goes

Bombshell Stamps April Challenge

When my bestee came to visit this past week she brought several things with her - first and foremost she brought my mojo with her... She is my muse - the one person who stretches my creativity to its best!  No one can bring it out in me quite like Torrey can...

As an added bonus she also brought her awesome Bombshell stamp collection.  Another thing that came with that was a "request" from Kathi that I play with them while Torrey was here.  I know what Kathi had in mind - she knew if I created with them I would fall in love and have to have them... Dang her for being right!!!  Another thing I am going to have to spend my money on... Gotta get me some of those...

For this card, I used a wonderful Geisha stamp that was so easy to ink up with my Copics.  I specifically picked out this wonderful Washi paper that has such beautiful colors and details... So, when I went to color it, I tried to pull my colors and design from the paper.

I used a sketch from Kathi (the Bombshell April challenge sketch) that made this card come together so easily... I took a few liberties in design, but the essence of the sketch is still intact.  I cut the paper into four strips, then wove a simple gold shimmer paper through it, almost mimicking bamboo.  An Asian symbol sentiment and some fibers and charm were all it took to finish it off.  I love the way it came out!  I will be entering this in the April sketch challenge at Bombshell!

Delicious Doodles #17 - Layers

It's a challenge at Delicious Doodles and this time around we want to see your "Layers" - pile them on, add to the top and show some dimension!  I used this great image of this beautiful peacock - I went out of my comfort zone and used my Prisma colored pencils for this one.  I loved how vibrant I could get the colors.  Isn't she so dramatic and regal?

Come show us your stuff this challenge - I would love to see what you can do!

CYP #105 - Shaped Cards - KennyK

Craft Your Passion has a fun challenge this week - we want to see your shaped cards... Nothing square or rectangle - anything else works.  It's kind of fun to challenge yourself to work "outside the box" on a different canvas shape.

I got this great image from KennyK - isn't she just too sassy?  Love her...  The shape is from a Cricut cut as is the ironwork fan.  It was such an cool ornamental cut that seemed like a great background for this Copic colored steampunk goddess!  I didn't want to add much since the ironwork was so stunning.  I simply added some fibers along the edge and then a Tim Holtz watch and gear.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - 84 - Linky party
Paper Play Challenges - 15 - Shaped cards
Just Keep Creating - 1 - Anything goes
Corrosive Challange - 146 - Heavy metal
Paper Take - Anything goes
Scrappy Frogs - Shaped cards

Scrappers Delight - Bunny package

Hey - it's my turn to showcase another one of Janice's great images... just in time for Easter, here comes this great Easter Bundle... Just soooo adorable!

I think the cutie I put on this card would also make a great Playboy bunny if you wanted to make a more romantic card...

She was such fun to ink up with my Copics. I had this great paper from Recollections that seemed to be designed for this stamp. I didn't have to do much more than just add a tied ribbon, a demensional chipboard piece stamped with a cute sentiment and some metal butterflies.

I will be entering this card into some challenges:

Everybody Art Challenge - #187 - Easter
Catch the Bug - Easter
My Mums Craft Shop - #51 - Easter
Crafts and Me Challanges - #78 - Butterflies and bows
Paper Take Weekly - Anything goes

CYP - #104 - Stripes & Dots

Craft Your Passion is working with  couple of my favorite sponsors this week - and I got to work with both of them... Our challenge this week is "Stripes and Dots"... They just go together, don't they?

Janice at Scrappers Delights created a wonderful set of adorable images featuring the meloncoly clown in my first card.  Isn't she precious?  I love the detail on this image - and she was sooo much fun to ink up with my Copics.

A Day For Daisies also provided us with some great images and prizes - I thought this little one with the bunny was such a sweet image and I loved working with light pastels to color this one.  So soft and subtle!

I hope you'll join us this week - we've got some great prizes to share and a chance to show us what you can do with stripes and dots.

I will be entering both cards in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - #83 - Linky Party
One Stitch at a Time - #107 - New - both new images
Come and Get it Challenge - Bring on Spring - spring colors
Wishcraft - Waste Not Wednesday - ribbons, bling, papers
Crafty Catz Weekly - #126 - Use a digi - both digital images

Thanks for stopping in today!
