CYP #124 - The Power of 3

It's that time again.... Craft Your Passion #124 is all about "The Power of Three"... So, here's my take on that theme.

I made this card using a cute image from Milk Coffee Stamps... I used 3 colors, there are 3 layers of swoopies popped up, there are 3 stars, there are 333 polka dots, I was watching an old rerun of 3's Company while I made this, I ate 3 snickers bars and drank 3 glasses of wine that night.  Oh, oh, oh... I think I made it on the 3rd of the month too... (hehehe)

The prize from Kenny is the winner's choice of 5 digi's.
Our second sponsor is with a choce of 2 digis is:Bearly Mine Design

Our theme this week is:
Get Sketchy!!

Follow Susie's Sketch flip it and embellish it as much as you like as long as we can see the sketch.
Now you might think this is a rather rude anniversary card... but trust me... I gave it to Tom this last month for our 22nd and he loved it.  Of course it didn't hurt that inside it says, "Because it's you, that's why!"

I used one of Kenny's new retro stamps called "What if", colored up with my Copics.  I added some retro looking papers from DCWF, some rickrack, a few small embellies and a bubble sentiment I created on my computer.  It's simple, but lots of fun!  I love punny cards....

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Totally Paper Crafts - Inspired by a Song - Summer Lovin'
Card Crafter's Crew - Earthy Tones
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything Goes

There's no place like Gnome!

So, I recently found myself in quite the creative slump... struggling each and every time I sat down in my studio.  The Copic coloring part was still coming easy, but the card design was miserable...to say the least.  I know from past experience that if I get in this situation, sometimes I have to turn out a couple of cards that I'm not crazy about before I get the mojo flowing... That's exactly what I did - and one by one the cards I was creating started to be easier and more creative...

Enter this new stamp set I recently got for a bargin at Michaels.  I don't buy many real stamps anymore with the availability of digital - but when I saw this set from Recollections on sale, I knew I had to have it... I mean how cute is this?

It's hard to tell from the photo, but there are about five different layers here... I used the flower background stamp on the back, then used the fence about four times, sillouette cut and popped up, then the gnome, then extra flowers and the cute little turtle and mushrooms on top.  It's busy but so stinkin' cute ... all from one set of stamps.  Whatcha think?

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Kenny K - #105

It's challenge time over at Kenny K's Krafty Krew - and this week's challenge is "Favorite Ice Cream" inspiration.  I love Neopolitan!  So, I picked this fun image called "Jessie Jane" and created this card using pinks, browns and creams... She's sassy!  I cut the bottom of the card out to spell my sentiment, then added the image, some pattern paper scraps and then lots of lacquer dots from Ranger.

This weeks first sponsor is Kenny K's Downloads

The prize from Kenny is the winner's choice of 5 digi's.

And our second sponsor is Crafty Ribbons

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Clowning around...

This is one I whipped up for the Paper Shelter Design Team call and then didn't get it entered for some reason or another - So, I thought I'd pop it up here and share it with ya'll.  Now, I know clowns freak a lot of people out (not mentioning any names, Torrey Beth), but frankly I just don't get it.  Who could be freaked out by this adorable juggling clown?  Really?

I used my Copics to color up the Paper Shelter image, then added some playful DVWV papers, a few ribbon scraps and a sentiment stamp from who knows who...

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky Party
The Paper Players - Bingo - circles, birthday, fav color (green)
The Paper Shelter - Glitz and Glimmer (hard to see, but papers have glitter, plus there are some clear bubble stones on the flowers)
Deep Ocean - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Hooked on Craft - Celebrations
Paper Makeup Stamps - Endless Summer
