CYP #129 - Buttons & Bows

Craft Your Passion is at it again - this week our challenge is "Buttons & Bows"...  I admit buttons don't usualy find their way onto my cards, especially ones with cows on them, but this one worked!  I liked the these fun papers and they seemed playful enough to support the buttons... And anyone who knows me knows that in my opinion, buttons must have thread!!!! So, that's where my bows came in.

Come join our challenge this week for a chance to win some great prizes from The Stamp Fairy and The Charm Barn.

I will be entering this card in these challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party

TiddlyInks inspiration

I recently had a few days off, although constantly interrupted by my mom-chauffeur duties, but it did give me a chance to play in my craft room a bit.  I found that I was much more in the mood to color than to design the actual card, but I did get a few of them done.  This cutie came together while I was at my mom's playing for the day.  Anyone who knows me knows how much I love dogs... so this adorable Tiddly Inks image called my name from the first time I saw her.

I used my handydandy, always present Copic markers to color her.  I added some messy sparkle paint to the edges to make it pop.  I put it on some great design papers from Basic Grey and a fun felt border ribbon.  The stamp was from the Studio G dollar bin at Michaels - I just love the cute sentiment image!

I will be entering this card in a few challenges:

Tiddly Inks - Make it like Asa
Totally Paper Crafts - For a child
Just Add Ink - Children's cards
Inky Impressions - For a child
Creative Craft Challenge - Anything goes

CYP #126 - Flower Power

Happy Labor Day!  I'm enjoying my day off, looking forward to good food and fellowship with my family today!  Hope you're as lucky!

Our challenge this week at Craft Your Passion is all about the Flower Power!  We want to see your projects with flowers "in the image", not just as an embellie.  I choose this wonderfully versitile image from Delicious Doodles (you know I love Teri's images).  I shaded it lightly with some chalk, keeping it monochromatic.  Stippled distress ink and and some rough edges complete the image portion.  I used some great paper scraps from DCWV, as well as one of my favorite deeply embossed papers.  Then I added some gauze and lace along with a pretty sheer ribbon.  Beautiful Prima flowers finished it off.

Time to show us what you can do... bring on the Flower Power!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Linky Party
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
Daring Cardmakers - Focus on Flowers
Stampalot Challenge - Victorian Inspiration

Kenny K's - #109 - Back to School

Fall time - you just gotta love it.  The crunch of fallin leaves under your feet, the cool and crisp air in the evenings that provide such awesome sleeping weather, the taste of crisp apples and fresh baked pumpkin pie... and of course, the one things kids dread and mom's love- Back to School!  That's our theme this week for a new challenge at Kenny K Krafty Krew - and we have some great examples over at the site to share with you.

Here's what I did using the fun image - Super Genius.  I added some great design papers from DCWV, a twill ribbon wrapped around a golf style pencil and then popped up my Copic colored image...  I think it turned out pretty darn cute!
