Tiddly Inks - #99 Make it like Marlena

I don't know how it got to be Wednesday already... Once again I am a day late (and certainly a dollar short)... Tiddly Inks started their new challenge yesterday and I am just getting this post up.  Good news, you've got almost two weeks to enter - so hop on over and get to crafting.
This week we have a great card from Marlena to inspire us - isn't it cute?  I just love the colors, but I chose to be inspired by her design... The image (Wryn in the fall) is colored up with my Copics.  I used a great Cricut cut to repeat her circle design, then the image and papers just flew from there... That paired with my favorite color combo... purple and green!  Ahhhhh.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Link party
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
Fab n Funky - 3 of anything
Party Time Tuesday - Anything goes

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
OLLCB - Spots and dots
Craft Us Crazy - Give thanks

Kenny K's Challenge 121 - Traditional Christmas Colors

Our challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Krew this week is to use "Traditional Christmas Colors".  I picked this great image called "Bow", (the adult version) to make this little peak-a-boo card.  I used acetate on the center portion of the front of the card so that the image shows through when it's closed.  I thought this sexy image made a great focal point for this technique.

We have a chance to win some awesome prizes - so ink up those stamps and come join along!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Pin and Tack - Anything goes
Totally Gorjuss - Don't be square
Wags 'n Whiskers - Christmas
Totally Papercrafts - All stitched up
Inky Impressions - Make it girly
Cute Card Thursday - For the girls

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Just online to share a quick card and to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.  I have so very much to be thankful for!  My family, my friends, my job, my ... well, my life!  Sometimes I forget how truly blessed I am!  Thanks to each of you who make my world a little brighter.

I made this card several months ago, but never shared it.  I just love this little Mo Manning image.  She just exudes "joy"... and that's how I'm feeling today!  Joyful!  The image is colored with my Copics, the background is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, then I cut a bunch of snowflakes out using my Cricut and then put them on top of the embossed flakes.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Girls only
Craftroom Challenge - Punches or die cuts
Eureka Stamps - For the kids
Inky Impressions - Make it girly

CYP #137 - Use Your Scraps

This week at Craft Your Passion we are issuing the challenge to "Use your scraps"... I have a TON of scraps.  I don't know why I am not better at using them - they just get color sorted and stored and not used as often as I should.  So this week I am vowing to use them in all the cards I make!  (Someone hold me to that, okay?)

I used this cute image from Stitchy Bear for this card made with my scraps.  I also found some clay embellishments that were actually bought in the miniature's section at my craft store... They seemed to be a great match to compliment the image.  I used an embossing folder on some white core paper, then sanded it to have the texture pop off the paper.  All of the edges were roughed up a little with the sanding block as well.  The final touch was a piece of braided leather rope.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Pin and Tack - Anything goes
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything goes
Little Red Wagon - Texturize it

I have a terrible confession - I totally blew it last week and my post for the CYP #136 - it didn't go up as scheduled and I didn't catch it.  So, I wanted to share with you my card for last weeks challenge.  It kinda goes with this other card in that they both have that western theme to them... My apologies to our great sponsor last week, Bugaboo, for not getting this out there last week.

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your holiday week for all of my USA friends, and have a great week for all of the rest of you!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Tiddly Inks - Give Thanks

There's a lot going on over at Tiddly Inks this morning... Christy has drawn up a couple of adorable new images for release and we have a new challenge starting today.  Head over and check out all the great inspiration from the design team then join in the fun and submit your project for a chance to win prizes!

The first card I wanted to share with you today was for our challenge theme - Giving Thanks.  I chose to use several great images including Poppy and Poppy Accents.  I just loved how easily having all these elements made the design of this card.  I had a blast coloring her with my Copics, then fussy cutting all the flowers so that I could toll and pop them off the background image.  The photo doesn't quite show how dimensional this one turned out, but you get the idea.  A simple dollar bin sentiment from Studio G finished it off.

The next one I wanted to show you was one of the new images just released today.  This one is called Coco Wishes.  How adorable is this one and what perfect timing as it is turning colder and starting to show signs of winter outside.  I started by printing the images on craft paper, then inking them with my Copics.  I finished off with some details created by using Prisma color pencils over the top of the Copics.  I like some of the details and color saturation on craft I was able to get trying this technique, but I need more practice to get it where I want it.  Anyway, I like the way it came out.  The banner was created in Photoshop starting with an image from Antsy Pants Digi's, then colored the same way.  A couple rows of marshmallows created a great border to go with the image.

I would like to enter the Poppy card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Link Party
Papertake Weekly - Flower Power
One Stitch At A Time - With Thanks
Crafty Catz Challenge - Anything Goes
Totally Paper Crafts - Cute and Girly

Kenny K - #119 - Monochromatic

This "Steamy" and feisty punk girl was the perfect jump start to my monochromatic steampunk card for our challenge at Kenny K this week.  Her name is Val Ventura and I inked her up with my Copics.  The design paper is from a great pack of steampunk papers made by DCWV and the banner is from AntsyPants Digis and modified in Photoshop.  The card came together easily with these great elements.

Come on over to Kenny K's Krafty Krew to join in the fun this week.  The sponsor's are giving away some amazing prizes this week - you definitely want in on this chance.  Create a monochromatic project and come play along.
This weeks first sponsor is Kenny K's Downloads

The challenge this week at Craft Your Passion is to use a hexagon on your project... so, instead of using one someplace, I decided to make my card the shape of one...
