Tiddly Tuesday - #104 - Inky Critters

There's a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks - and it's all about the adorable critters sprinkled throughout the great images you can find at the Tiddly Inks shop.

This is a clean and simple card I made for my husband for Valentine's Day.  I just love the sweet image called Hedgie Hugg and the great sentiment - they go together so well.  I colored her up with my Copics, did a quick border of stitching, then matted her in red.  Very simply, but I like the clean feel of it.

Come join our challenge this week - there is always a chance of winning some great prizes - and I would love to see what you can do with these great images.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party
Party Time Tuesday - color Inspiration

Farewell Kenny K 131 - Going round in circles

Today I bid a fond farewell to Kenny K's Krafty Krew with one final card.  I will miss working with this wonderful krew and all of Kenny's great images.  But it's time to allow someone else the same pleasure I have had over the last year.  There are changes in the horizon over there, so you should definitely go check out the site to keep up with it all.

The challenge this week is "Going round in circles" - and I chose to work with this adorable image called "Rad Boarder".  I found a ton of ways to use a circle on this design and think it came out pretty "rad" for a young boy card.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Totally Gorjuss - For the men
Card Makin Mamas - Birthday
My Time To Craft - Men only
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything goes

Tiddly Friday - Inspiration time

Here is the card I made for inspiration Friday over at Tiddly Inks - and folks, this is one of the FREEBIE images you can get a hold of here!  And don't forget to check out the blog here to have a chance to win an image from yesterday's post... That's great stuff, huh?

For this card I used a Spellbinders label die cut to make the fun frame around the Copic inked image called Solly Tude.  I love using things in a non-conforming way to get a new result.  Makes me feel like I get my money's worth.  I added a great sentiment that I believe was a Tim Holtz one, but don't remember for sure. Hard to read in the photo but it says "The journey awakens the soul".  Simple but stunning and great card for anyone that just needs a bit of love.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party
Crafty Bloggers Network - anything goes
Inky Impressions - ribbon or twine
Charisma Cardz - anything goes

Tiddly Inks - Throwback Thursday

Over at the Tiddly Inks site on Thursday we have one artist showcase one of the older images - and today was my turn!  There's also a great chance to win this or a similar image over on the site - so pop on over!

I admit that doing guy cards is not my strength - I seem to struggle more with them than most cards.  But when I found this wonderful image called "Carpenter Joe" I knew I had hit the jackpot.  I have very handy men in my life and I love that this card could work for many occasions for any of them.

I colored him up with my Copics, added a piece of brown that had been run through an embossing folder and inked, some great cork and a couple of pieces of patterned paper to make this simple but detailed card. I also added a strand of woven rope to the edge of the photo as it has a more manly look than ribbon!  hehe

Remember to stop by the site for a chance to win this image - either Carpenter Joe or Carpenter Jane image!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Incy Wincy Designs - Add texture
Deep Ocean Challenge - Letter B - boy, blue
Crafty Bloggers Network - Anything goes
Craft Us Crazy - Show us your favorite - image
Charisma Cardz - Anything goes

Tiddly Tuesday - New Release

If you do nothing else creative today, you absolutely must jump over to the Tiddly Inks site and check out all the amazing inspiration we have in store for you today.  There is a release of some new clear stamps and the DT has gone soooo far over the top with their samples that you will zapped with creative energy just seeing all the eye candy!

I did two for this release - the first is using "Everyday Magic" and is such a sweet and wonderful image.  I absolutely fell in love with this image.  I think she's an angle, but I believe Christy drew her as a fairy... Either way, I love her.  And the sentiment is so perfect - Just wonderful!

The second one I made used an image called "Grow Old Friends" and is a wonderfully versatile image that was a blast to ink up.  Still working on my pleats and folds, but liking the way it turned out.  There is a tag tucked underneath the image with the sentiment on it... The whole card has a Victorian era feel to it, don't you think?  Until I downloaded these here, I didn't realize I worked int he same color pallet on both cards... weeks apart.  Must be striking a cord with me or something.

Card Mania - This love that I'm feeling

Here is my card for the week.... I used the adorable "You are on my mind" image.  I think she is such a sweet image.  I designed it for a young girl as it looks so sweet and innocent.

And a second one I made this weekend just for fun... Thought I would pop it up here as well.... For this one I used one of the images from the "Kitty set" that has three adorable kitties that all work together.  This is a simple one that came together very quickly...

Inspiration at Tiddly Inks

It's inspiration Friday at Tiddly Inks and I gotta tell ya we have some wonderful stuff over there to show off... I am constantly amazed by the talent on this design team - makes me kind of intimidated at times, but always inspired.  You really should go check out all their blogs when you get the chance - so much eye candy!

As for me, I had fun inking up this adorable image called Bathing Beauty!  I just love the mix of styles she represents... a little old fashion, a little goth, a little whimsical!  Isn't it fun?  I used some great papers from DCWV and a new Spellbinders die cut I just picked up.  Lots of simple pen work combined with a sentiment and sun stamp from my ever-growing stash of dollar bin stamps.  I finished it with a happy sheer bubbly bow and called it done!  Simple design but I love the way it focuses on the wonderful image.
