Tiddly Inks Challenge - Men

Well, I have a lot to catch up on... been very bad at keeping up to date.  So, I'm going to share a couple of projects with you today.

First is our "men" theme challenge at Tiddly Inks - I made up this one using the image "For the Birds" for my dad's birthday.  I admit that male cards are not my strength but I liked the way it turned out.

The next project is the card I made for the Friday Inspiration last week, but forgot to post... For this one I used the image "Wryn Fairy Friends".  I think she is so adorable and I love the mushroom.  I added a lot more stuff on this one than I normally do, but for some reason it just seemed to call for it.

I would like to enter the mushroom fairy card in the following challenge:

Make it Monday - linky party
Celebrate the Occasion - must use a butterfly
Party Time Tuesday - anything goes
Craft Room Challenge - use your scraps
Paper Makeup - anything goes
Ooh la la - inspired by nature
Come and Get it - off the edge
Charisma Cardz - summertime

A little crafting time with my bestee!

This last weekend was a blast!  My bestee, Torrey Mosely, came and spent a few days playing with me in my craft room.  No one, and I mean NO ONE inspires me more or makes sitting in my basement at midnight making card more enjoyable.  I adore this woman and her talents are so beyond belief that I can't even begin to describe them.  Go check out her blog, Left Field, and you'll see what I mean.

I got a chance to play around with some die cuts designed by another wonderful friend, Karen Burniston.  She rocked these die cut designs!  Love them to death.  The accordion album in my previous post is a fairly standard representation of the die cut... just used as it was designed.  But that wasn't enough for me!  I wanted to make one that had a bottom section on it... so the creative juices started flowing and between Torrey and I, we were able to figure out a way to make it work.  This is the result!
The way I did this was to take the die and put a piece of a heavy plastic strip taped across the bottom edge directly on the die.  Then I left the paper longer than normal.  I put the paper on the die cut with the long edge hanging over the end.  When I ran it through my Sizzix I could tell when it butted up against the plastic.  I stopped rolling at that point and backed it up out of the machine.  It left the bottom edge uncut so I could make it as long as I wanted.  Tada!  I love the way it turned out and can see so many possibilities for this technique.  Might have to try it again sometime soon.

Tiddly Release - You gotta check this out!

There is an amazing release of new images over at Tiddly Inks today... Oh my stars did Christy outdo herself this time around.  So many adorable possibilities for these adorable images.  You just gotta go check them out!

I have a couple of samples to show you.  The first one uses Fairy Sunny Day clear stamp set.  I love the flowers and happy spring feel of this set.

The next sample uses a couple of new images, Whatever Blooms and Whatever Floats By as well as a couple of older ones from the Flying High clear set.  I also used and experimented with a Sizzix die set made by a sweetheart friend of mine named Karen Burniston.  This die is amazing and I can't wait to play with it more.

So, there is a small sampling of some of the great samples and images over at Tiddly Inks - go check them out and I know you'll enjoy them as much as I do.

I would like to enter the Walking on Sunshine card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
The Crafty Bloggers Network - Flowers, stamp, stitching bingo line
One Stitch at a Time - Use a digi

Tiddly Tuesday - Challenge time!

It's challenge time over at Tiddly Inks again... and this is a fun one!  We challenge you to use any Wren image for this challenge - and there are so many wonderful ones to pick from.

I actually have two cards to share with you today because I forgot to post my Inspiration Friday card - but since it's a Wren image as well, I thought I would toss it in here.

First is a cute little card using the "Happy Mail" image and some great papers from Colorbox.  She is colored with my Copics, fussy cut and then set on a couple of die cut frames from Spellbinders.  A sentiment, bubbly bow and fussy cut flower complete the design.  Isn't she adorable?

For my second card I colored up an image called "Some Bunny Love You".  I used some great papers from my stash (not sure of the manufacturer), a sentiment from the same papers, and some swirly cuts from one of my favorite dies from QuickCutz.

I would like to enter the "Miss You" card in the following challenges:

Twisted Tuesday Challenge - Girly with friend theme
Southern Girls Challenge - You can say that again
Paper Makeup Stamps - The great outdoors
Make It Monday - Linky party
Crafty Catz - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Something blue
The Crafty Bloggers Network - Bingo - die cuts, flowers, ribbon
Card Mania - Flower power
Paper Crafting Journey - Anything goes
Get Inky - Use a die cut

MarkerPOP! blog hop!

Hello everyone and welcome to the MarkerPOP! + Tiddly Inks Blog Hop!!! MarkerPOP! is the home of premium markers plus lots more! Tiddly Inks provides cute and quirky stamps---both digital and clear---plus some digital papers; all are illustrated by Christy Croll!

Today we are teaming up to share some amazing projects using some of the adorable Tiddly Inks images along with some of our favorite coloring tools from MarkerPOP.com. If you are just joining us on the hop, you are going to want to start back at the beginning of the hop list which can be found at the end of this post!

For this hop I used some great papers from Authentic that were so soft and had such a sea-fairing type feel to them. One of the papers had some wonderful old postcards on it and I loved the way they went with this unique frame image from Melissa at MelissaMade2.  Isn't it just FABULOUS.  The sentiment comes as part of a clear stamp set called "Stylish Friends" over at Tiddly Inks. Past that, I added some twine and seashells to the punched border and tada!

So, as a bonus, I have been given permission to offer up this wonderful frame image as a FREEBIE to all of you hopping along...  Just right click and save on the image below.  If you get a chance, pop over and check out the wonderful and talented Melissa at MelissaMade2 to show her some love for this great image.

Deconstructed Sketch 100 Celebration

I feel honored and blessed to have been asked to join in the fun over at The Deconstructed 100th Sketch celebration... I adore Jen's sketches and think that they are a great "jump start" to any project.  So, I was thrilled to play along.  Here is the sketch!

I picked several fun images from Tiddly Inks and merged them together - one of them is an adorable cat from the "Set of Kitty's", one is the flowers from "Emma - Celebrate Joyfully" and the other is the cute mailbox in the image "Happy Mail".  I used my Copics to color them up, then just followed the sketch using some papers from my stash.  It came together so easily because the design was already so well done.

Here's the word from Jen on how to play along with the sketch and a bunch of great ways to win!
