Whimsy July Release

Here is one of the cards I created for the July Whimsy Stamp release.  This adorable image is from Crissy Armstrong and it is called Farmer's Breakfast.  I made sentiment using the new die cuts called Contest Ribbons that have matching stamps called Contest Ribbons by Raindrop Echo Designs for Whimsy Stamps. These sets make such an adorable sentiment for so many occasions.  The inside of the card says, "Pig Out, It's your birthday!"

Whimsy July Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps July 2013 rubber stamp and die release BLOG HOP!

To celebrate the new release, the design team is holding a blog hop review today and we sharing creations made with some of the brand new stamps! The blog hop has a prize of 2 new release stamps hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24 hours to enter the prize draw.

To be entered into today's blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog on Friday.

The card I created for this hop uses an image from Monika Martinson called New Garden Party.  This set is awesome and has so many versatile stamps included.  I colored it up with my Copics, put it on a great frame from Spellbinders, added a sentiment, some lace/ribbon and a few flowers to finish it up.  It's an elegant thank you card that was fairly easy to complete.

Tiddly Inks Inspiration Friday

Just a quick post to show you this clean and simple card I made recently with one of the adorable images you get in the Mini and Friends clear stamp set from Tiddly Inks.  She was framed using a brass stencil as a template to silhouette cut the design, then popped up with foam dots.  A simple sentiment and some hand stitching completed the look.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Thank You
Anything Goes Challenge - Anything Goes

Whimsy Stamp Challenge #61

So, it's finally here... my first challenge card for the Whimsy Stamp Challenge.  Our challenge this time around is "Ribbon and Lace".  That's an easy challenge for me as those are two of my favorite ingredients for my cards.

For my card I used a great image from an artist named Lia Stampz.  The image is called *NEW Bicycle.  Isn't it a sweet image?  I love the simplicity and joy that just exudes from it.  I colored it up with my Copics, added a fun Spellbinders frame and then lots of ribbon and lace to spice up the background.  It is finished with a simple stamped sentiment.

Now it's your turn to show us what you can do with ribbon and lace.  Remember it doesn't have to be a card, any project is welcome.  There is a great chance to win some wonderful prizes from Whimsy Stamps.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Anything Goes Challenge - Anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Good luck charm

Tiddly Inks Challenge time

We've had our little break - now it's time for another challenge over at Tiddly Inks.  This week we are doing "Fairies and Mermaids" as our challenge theme.  I used this older image called Fairy Fae Catches a Star.  She is such a classic beauty - I think she could be used for just about any kind of card.

I inked her with my Copics, added some die cuts, a doily and some ribbon.  The final strip on the left is a piece of vellum that has been punched with a border punch, then run through an embossing folder.  I love the love I got from this technique.

Now I want to see what you can do with some of the amazing fairy and mermaid images over at Tiddly Inks.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Twisted Tuesday - Starts w/ I (incredible, ink), embossing
Party Time Tuesday - Wing it
Paper Makeup Stamps - Anything goes
Lexi's Creations - For a friend
