Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks

Thank heavens it's finally here - and not just because that means you get to enjoy some design team inspiration from the Tiddly girls.... but I need a weekend!  I need me some creative time!!!!!

This is a card I made for the recent release of all the wonderful new images Christy has created.  I used the one called "I wuf you" - I used the clear set, but it also comes in digital.  She was colored up with my Copics, then popped on this fun cloud paper.  I hand cut some grass out of design paper, then punched and assembled some flowers.  A few extra butterflies were cut out of the background paper and popped on for some extra dimension.

So, if you haven't done so already, hop on over to the blog site and check out all the amazing makes by the DT... You're sure to be inspired!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party

Whimsy Inspiration

I wanted to share with you this fun card I created using Crissy Armstrong's adorable image called Trick or Treating.  I think it is easily becoming one of my favorite Crissy images... just too stinkin' cute!

To create this one I used my Copic airbrush system to create the night sky using several different colors to obtain the variance.  Then I spatter painted the stars with white acrylic paint.  The image is colored with my Copics, then fussy cut out so that I could place them on the night sky.  I thought the image and background were so dramatic that I didn't want to add a lot of other things around it.  Just some patterned papers and a simple ribbon bow.  I love the way it turned out.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Card Mania - Ribbon
Card Crafter's Circle - Bright colors
Papercrafting Journey - Anything goes

Throwback Thursday for Tiddly Inks

It's my turn to show off a great image from the past at Tiddly Inks.  I picked this one called "Take Me Away".  I paired it with a simple Delicious Doodles bubble frame, colored them up with my Copics, added some micro-glitter to the bubbles, then covered them in crystal lacquer.  I love the way this makes the bubbles so translucent.  I used an embossing folder on some heavy vellum to get the raised design on the border strip.  Added a simple sentiment and ribbon with a silk flower to complete the soft look.

You really should head over to the Tiddly Shop and check out all the images... I've been a Tiddly Inker for a while now and I still find images in the store I've either never seen or totally forgotten about!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Ooh la la - Inspired by a song - Take me away
Papertake Weekly - Flower power
Papercrafting Journey - Anything goes
Crafty Ribbons - Anything goes w/ ribbon

Whimsy Challenge Time - Clean and Simple

Our challenge this month at Whimsy Stamps is "Clean and Simple".  That's not my strong comfort zone, but I do like the way this one came out.  I used one of the great sentiments you get with the "Birthday Greetings 2" set, then used part of the new "Dragonfly Border" die cut to accent the simple design.  I used my pen to border the edges and added some brads to the pennants.  Simple, definitely easy and I think a great masculine birthday card.

I would love to see what you can do with our theme this month... Come join in the fun here!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party
Inky Impressions - masculine
Craft-room Challenge - something new (die cut, sentiment stamp)

Whimsy August Release - blog hopping again

I'm back again today with another great image from our August release over at Whimsy Stamps.  I love Elizabeth Bell - her designs always make me squeal with delight.  This one was no exception.

She is called "Sweetest Apple" and I had so much fun inking her up with my Copics.  I love the way this card has such a country feel to it.  Can't ya just almost taste one of those apples?

There is lots of great inspiration along the way with this hop.  And remember that you need to leave comments on each one of the blogs to be eligible for the great prizes.

So, off you go... Start hoppin' and be ready to be amazed by the wonderful talented ladies of this design team.

For my card, I chose to use the HELLO PET set.   I love the little dragons on this one - definitely one of my favorite images to color from this release.  Drop back by in the next few weeks for more samples yet to come!

I colored it up with my Copics, added lots of great design paper from my scrap stash, used a Spellbinders die cut to frame the sentiment, a sweet ribbon bow, lots of bling and finished it off with some hand drawn borders around the stamps.  Too cute, huh?

Here is a looksee at all of the stamps you get with this set.

A little Whimsy inspiration

I am excited to share this adorable image called Wyanet from Sylvia Zet at Whimsy Stamps.  She is so sweet and innocent - I can almost hear the wind and see the canyon below.  Love love love it!  Sylvia has done several images for this set of releases and I can't wait to get my hands on all of them.  I also used the new Whimsy Contest Die set that works so well with the Whimsy Contest Ribbons stamp set.  Makes for a wonderful, quick and easy sentiment to add to your card.

I colored this image with my Copics, cut her out with a Spellbinders die cut, then ruffed up all the edges with both ink and a distress tool.  It almost looks burnt in person.  I added some design papers from my stash, treating the edges the same way.  A fun ribbon and the sentiment finish it off.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party
Inky Impressions - anything with wings
Papertake Weekly - occasion
Stamping Sensations - wings and things, touch of vintage

Tiddly Inks Challenge Time

It's challenge time at Tiddly Inks!  Our challenge is Birthday Bash - and I know you all make birthday cards.  I can never have enough of them on hand!  I chose this adorable image called Hi There Girl and sat her upon a cut out word.  Simple in design but lots of fussy cutting to make it work.  I love the way this looks on cards and have done it on several now.  I don't mind fussy cutting, so it's a technique that comes easy to me.

Time to come join our fun - show us what you've got and earn a chance to win some great Tiddly Ink images!  You know you can never have too many of those.

Christy was so thrilled with all the wonderful DT applicants that she has decided to offer up a $1.00 image that is just too stinkin' cute.  She is such a sweetheart and wanted to say thanks!  Hop on over to the store to pick up this wonderful new image addition!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks - Inspiration from the DT

I am a little bit late, but here is my Inspiration Friday card for Tiddly Inks - I used Lilli Lolita and decided she needed to have some crazy hair.  I loved the shades of blue that I used - enough so that I didn't want to add any other vibrant colors to the image or the card.  It screams blue, but I love it!  The charm is hard to read in the picture, but it says Spoiled Rotten!  Jump on over to the Tiddly site to see so many inspiring cards from our wonderful design team.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Card Makin Mamas - black, white plus one other color
Totally Paper Crafts - inspired by a song - Blue Over You
Craft Challenge - monochromatic
Cute Card Thursday - anything goes
