Whimsy Monday inspiration

Time for just a quick post as it is Grandma day and I don't want to miss a minute of it.  I just posted this cutie over on the Whimsy Inspiration blog.  It features a wonderful image by Sylvia Zet called Rowan Fairy, colored with my Copics, the placed on this great Spellbinders frame.  I added some leaf die cuts, some fibers, a birdcage topper and used the delicate Whimsy Stamps dragon fly border behind her.  A small birdcage charm dangles from the fibers to complete the whimsical look.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party

Whimsy Stamp September release review blog hop

Hello and welcome to the
Whimsy Stamps September Release Review Day Blog Hop!

Yesterday (18 September) Whimsy Stamps released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies and Whimsy Designer Paper packs. From 17 September until today the Whimsy Stamps DT are showcasing these fabulous new goodies with a daily blog hop!

Each blog hop has a prize of 2 new release stamps hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24hrs to enter each prize draw.

To be entered into today's blog hop prize draw, be sure to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced here on the Whimsy blog tomorrow.

For my card I used two images from Time 4 Tea called Under the Mistletoe Boy and Under the Mistletoe Girl.  I colored them up with my Copics, then added some great design papers from my scraps.  I distressed all the edges and then completed the look with a sentiment from the New season's greetings notable 7 package and then die cut it out with the Notable 7 die.  It all came together easily and I love the way it turned out.

Remember that the entire new release is available to buy right now from the Whimsy Stamps store along with all your Whimsy favourites.

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy hopping!

Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Masculine

The challenge this month at Whimsy Stamps is "Masculine Cards" - I will admit that masculine cards are not my "comfort zone".  In fact, I struggle with them terribly.  Especially "man" cards since it seems that most images fit for a masculine card are really better suited for "boys".  However having said all that, I found working with these wonderful stamps and die cut from Whimsy Stamps made designing this card pretty darn easy.  I also have to give credit to my mom who used this adorable layout for a baby card that I adore.  So, between her design inspiration and the die cut/stamp set, putting this together was a breeze.

These stamps are designed with wonderful Christmas sentiments, but I love the way the frame part of it can be used for just about anything with a simple circle punch in the middle.  I am all about using things as many times as I can and this allows me to use this for any occasion, not just Christmas.

Jump over to the Whimsy Challenge blog and join in the fun this month.  I would love to be inspired by your creations as I am always looking for great ideas for masculine cards.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - more than 2 design papers
Totally Gorjuss - stripes
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - anything goes
