Whimsy catchup

I just wanted to share a quick card with you today - I'm so thankful for all the opportunities working with Whimsy Stamps has given me, and this was one of them.  This card was created for a feature in Crafts 'n' Things magazine.  It was a great Whimsy showcase and I was honored and thrilled to be a part of it.

For this card I used the adorable image by Sylvia Zet called Winter Friends.  I used the die cut set called "Layered Snowflakes Dies" and then the sentiment is from the "Season's Greetings Notable 7".  I used a ton of Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (UTEE) on the edges to give it a frosty look and covered the snowflakes in several layers of UTEE to give it lots of dimension.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Totally Paper Crafts - Ho Ho Holidays
Crafty Ribbons Challenge - Anything goes with ribbon
Cute Cart Thursday - Anything goes
Crafting By Designs - Winter or Christmas

Whimsy Release Review Blog Hop

Good morning peeps!  It's cold and snowing here in Colorado - makes me want to stay home, color images, make soup and bake bread!  If only....

Instead, it's time for the Whimsy Stamps November Release Review Day Blog Hop! Whimsy Stamps just released this month's new rubber designs, Shapeology dies and Whimsy Designer Paper packs.

Today the wonderful design team is showing off a bunch of these great new stamps and products in a blog hop.  You won't want to miss any of these great projects - there are some amazing things to see.  And don't forget that each blog hop has a prize of 2 new release stamps hidden somewhere along the way and you have 24 hours to enter each prize draw.

For my project I used the wonderful new image from Elizabeth Bell titled "Lissy's Little Light".  I just love her images - they have such an old world charm feel to them.  I framed her in a great Spellbinders die cut, added a printed sentiment and finished her off with a delicate die cut ribbon from Memory Box.  The design papers are scraps from Basic Grey.  I added some pearl drops to create a little dimension.

Remember that to be entered into today's blog hop prize draw you need to leave a comment on ALL of the DT's posts listed below by 12.00PM EST tomorrow. All winners will be announced on the Whimsy blog tomorrow.

For my project I used the adorable new image from Crissy Armstrong called “Penguin Chocolate Surprise”. Tiddly Inks Challenge - Anything Goes

It's that time again - another challenge at Tiddly Inks... And once again we have made it as simple as it gets!

Anything Goes (with a Tiddly image)

For my card I used the new and adorable boy images Crissy just released.  One is called "My Batty Hero" and one is called "My Super Boy".  I love that she has some new boy images... they can be hard to find, but not anymore - one stop shopping!

I used my Copics to color them, then added some bright primary colored papers from my scraps.  I thought it needed a "pow" type sentiment and just a touch of glitter paper to finish the look.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Fab'n'Funky - Anything goes
Totally Papercrafts - Clean and simple

Class cards...

So I taught a Copic class at my local scrapbook store this weekend and had a great group of women to share the passion with - a familiar face along with some new friends.  Thanks gals for making it a fun afternoon.

A couple of them didn't quite finish the assembly part - so I told them I would post pics of the cards on here for them to use to finish.  It was so fun to see how everyone's coloring had their own style and touch.  Hope we can do it again soon!

Inspiration Friday at Tiddly Inks

Just a quick post with some inspiration from Tiddly Inks.  I used one of Chrissy's new images - this one is called "King of the Wild Ones" - and there are plenty of great new ones to pick from... lots of great boy card images!  He is colored with my Copics, added on some scrap design paper and embellished with a great stamp sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.  Turned out pretty darn cute if you ask me.

Whimsy Challenge Time

It's challenge time over at Whimsy Stamps!  You have a great chance to win some wonderful Whimsy Stamps and this couldn't be an easier theme - Anything Goes!

For my card I used the adorable Elizabeth Bell image called Little Jack and Bobbins.  I love old fashioned Christmas decorations and embellies, so this image fits wonderfully with these papers and images I cut from patterned paper.  It is simple, but keeps the image on this cute image!  There are lots of gold metallic accents on the paper and images that don't really show up in the picture, but make it feel very festive.

I would like to enter this project into the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Inky Impressions - Red and green
Fab 'n' Funky - Anything goes
Crafting by Design - Anything goes with a twist of Christmas
Everybody Art Challenge - Card for a boy
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Christmas is coming

Challenge time at Tiddly Inks

It's time for a new challenge at Tiddly Inks - and this one couldn't be easier!  It's an anything goes challenge!

For my card I used one of the new images just released called Sk8rt Boy.  Christy has out-done herself with this new release - giving us what everyone was asking for... Boy images!  But that's not all, there is also some new girl and holiday images as well.  Hope on over to the store and see all the new stuff!  But be warned, they are too stinkin' cute to pass up!

The images is colored with Copics, put on some older design papers from my stash, and embellished with some rivet gears from My Little Yellow Bicycle.  All of the edges are distressed and inked up to match the grungy feel of the card.

Now it's your turn - show us what you've got!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party
Twisted Tuesday - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Paper Makeup Stamps - lots of layers
Card Mania - anything goes
