Whimsy's 24 Days of Christmas

We have been having an amazing time at Whimsy this month.  Each day a different artist has been showcasing a wonderful image on our countdown to the Christmas holiday.  And we are almost done!  Today is day 23 of 24 and I have no doubt you have all been blown away by the gorgeous art created by the ubber-talented team. 

 

 

here's my card for the day!  It uses a great image from Time for Tea Designs called Marshmallows and Coffee.  Isn't she just the cutest?   I colored her up with my Copics, added some doodles, then I used some design papers from my stash to create a blocked background.  The Joy sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly, stamped and fussy cut out.  A pretty bow finishes it off.  A simple design, but such stunning results!

 

 Each day during the event our artist will be posting a letter.  Keep a list of the letters as you go.  Once you have collected all 24 letters, put your thinking cap on and unscramble them and make a 4 word phrase.  Email that phrase to whimsystampscontests@gmail.com by the 31st of December, 2013, and if you've guessed correctly, you will be entered into the drawing to win a fantastic and simply ahhhhmazing GRAND PRIZE!

Whimsy inspiration!

Just a quick card to share today - it's one of Sylvia Zet's new releases and I just adore this image.  It's called Iris from Whimsy Stamps.  She is just so sweet and was easy to color up with my Copics.  I used some great papers from Basic Grey and didn't need much to finish off the card, a simple lace edge and some photo turns and small charm XO.

Tiddly Challenge Time

Winter is coming, whether I want it to or not...it's on its way!  Our high tomorrow is supposed to be in the single digits... burrr!  So wish I could stay home and color up some more of my all time favorite Tiddly images like this one.  It's an older image, but a classic fat snowman never goes out of style.  I decided to turn him into a cute tag for the holiday gift exchange at our company party next week.  I think he will look adorable on top of a pretty package.

For this tag I used "Snowman Sid" colored with my Copics then created a basic white tag, layered with some cut DCWV papers.  I think the hand doodling added a whimsical touch - then finished it off with a pretty matching ribbon and the smaller "to and from" tag.  Simple, but a nice touch of handmade goodness!

So, our challenge at Tiddly is an easy one... Christmas, Holiday or Winter Scene.  You will find a bunch of adorable images over at the site to pick from if you want to treat yourself to a little early present!  Just remember to be eligible for the prizes, you need to use a Tiddly image.
