Whimsy - New baby card

Here's a card I just shared over on the Whimsy Inspiration site showing off one of the new Sylvia Zet images released just this month.  He is called "New baby" and isn't he such a cutie?    I love the way this simple card turned out... he sits comfortably on clouds made from my Copics, from a die cut and then on an embossed background of the fluffy things.  I added a quick sentiment, some lacy and a little doodling to complete the look.

For my card, I used the adorable new image from Cathy Delanssay called "In Spring" along with the wonderful new die cut and stamp set called "Noteables 8".

 

 

I thought the sentiment was so perfect for this image and the die cut tree I used to frame her.

Sneak peak day - Whimsy Release

It's release week at Whimsy Stamps and boy have we got some great stuff in store for you.  Today is a sneak peak blog hop day with the actual release coming on Wednesday. 

I got to use this adorable stamp from Sandy Allnock called Mikayo and Kate.  I have a picture of my daughter holding our cat in this exact same way... that was the most tolerant cat... so I just had to color this one up.  I used my Copics, then just color blocked the background with some simple doodling around the edges.  The banner is another great new release this month - six different die cut banner flags!  I just love them!  I added a simple letter stamp to each, then threaded them with some twine.  Makes for a super cute senitment.

Whimsy Facebook Challenge - springtime colors

On the Whimsy Inspiration Facebook page we have started a challenge again this month.  It's all about springtime colors.  Easy and fun!

For this card I used the Noteable7 die and the new Definition stamps that match.  A simple water colored background, a twill ribbon and some butterflies  make it simple but stunning.

Goin' Green - Tiddly Challenge Time

So, it is challenge time over at Tiddly Inks and this time we are "goin' green" in celebration of St. Patty's day!  All we need is to see some green on your card featuring a Tiddly image.  There is a great chance to win some Tiddly prizes, so come join us.

For my card I used the image called Geekatude.  I just love this image - sometimes it is so hard to find images that work for the dudes in our life.  Especially the teen boys!  I think he works great for that age group!

I inked him up with my Copics, giving him some wild and firereee hair to match the great attitude!  I used some fun Basic Grey papers to highlight the green chaos going on with a fun die cut frame.  A stamped sentiment (literally) from Whimsy Stamps was a great addition to the image.  I added some background and the photo turns to give it more pop, then I doodled some fun edges to give it a completed look.
