New Tiddly Inks Challenge

It's Tiddly challenge time again and this time we are looking to celebrate springtime here - we want to see flowers on your card.  They can be in the image, handmade or store bought, just show us some flowers!

For my card I used the adorable image called Spring Hugga Bugga and placed digitally on top of the flowers from Celebrate Joyfully set.  I love the way they worked together - it makes for such a happy scene!  (Sorry about the double watermark, not sure how that happened).

The rest of the card is simple to help make the image the focal point.  Just lots of layering, some doodles and a quick stamped sentiment.

I also want to share this one (should have posted this last week, but it was a crazy week around here).  This one is good for our challenge as well and shows off one of the new released stamps called Poppy Pixie - you gotta go check out all the new stamps in this release.  If you love pixies, this one's for you!

I would like to enter the top "Happy Day" card in the following challenges:

Time for Tea card from Whimsy

Here's a little card I created using the newly released Whimsy stamp from Time for Tea (Jo Davies) called Pretty Petals.  I love creating cards with these adorable designs because they are so versatile.  I like to add sentiments that can be given for just about any occasion, then just keep a stash to have for whatever my needs.

On this card I also used the new stamp set called Girl Talk and the die cut Notables 3 to make the sentiment.  There's lots of glitter pen on this, but that part didn't show up in the photo very well.

Thanks for stopping by!

I'll be entering this one in these challenges:

That Craft Place - Anything goes/Easter
Party Time Tuesday - Die cuts
Crafting by Design - Anything goes
Twisted Tuesday - 3 DP's/doodling
Everybody Art Challenge - Anything goes

Tiddly Challenge Time - Celebrations

It's that time again.... Tiddly Challenge Time!  This week our challenge is a celebration card.  Now to me, that means just about anything - as sending a card is a celebration of the recipient, right?

For my card I used one of the new images called Faye Flower Girl - but I created this card just to tell a friend how special I think she is and to celebrate our friendship.  I colored her with my Copics, and used some scraps of design paper to color block the background.  The sentiment is a Sizzix stamp/die cut set that said exactly what I wanted it to say.

Oh, and I love the way Zoe from Make it Crafty shared with us at the retreat on how to "highlight" the image with a color burst.  I have a feeling I will be using this technique a lot!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Twisted Tuesday - more than 3 design papers and doodling
Party Time Tuesday - die cuts
Everybody Art Challenge - anything goes

Fab Friday - Tiddly inspiration

Here's a little Tiddly Inspiration for your Friday and to remind you that there is still time to enter our "Spring" challenge for a chance to win some great Tiddly images!

For my card I used the adorable image called Everyday Princess.  She is colored up with my Copics, then framed with a great new die cut I got while I was in Texas from Sizzix.  The patterned paper had lots of great flowers, so I fussy cut them out the added buttons to the center.  I think she looks rather royal!!!!

Don't forget to come join us for this weeks challenge!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Hands Challenge - anything goes
That Craft Place - buttons
Paper Crafting Journey - special lady
4 Crafty Chicks - use polka dots

I want to share a quick little make with you today to show off some of the stuff over at Whimsy Stamps.  I just love this release and I couldn't wait to use them all.  I went without an image this time around and instead chose to make the homemade flower the center focal point.  Here's all the products I used on this one...

Build a Banner Die - across the top
Notables 8 Die - used to make the flower
Fancy Square Die - for the sentiment
Mini Chalkboards - the sentiment stamp

New release at Tiddly Inks

There is a new release over at Tiddly Inks and I gotta tell ya, I love these girls. One of the reason I like them so much is that I actually had the opportunity to be with Christy when she was creating these. I was blown away watching the way she put them together. Amazing!!!!

For my card, I printed the image on a sheet of design paper that I had in my stash. I colored her lightly using colored pencils, then doodled the border. I added a simple sentiment stamp that seemed to fit the picture. For the background, I stippled ink through a stencil, then used some colored pencils and a white gel pen to highlight some of the stenciled areas. It's simple in design, but striking in appearance. I love the way it looks like it's right out of a book.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Paper Take Weekly - Spring has sprung
Creative Card Crew - Spring
Love to Scrap - Anything goes
Paper Makeup - Anything goes
Craft Your Passion - No designer papers

Tiddly Challenge Time - Spring!

I have been on a little mini-vacation, both from life's ordinary responsibilities and from my blogging lately.  I got to spend a wonderful week in Texas with my bestee, Torrey.  It was refreshing, revitalizing and renewing!  I came home relaxed and with a new creative energy!  Torrey inspires the best in me, in so many ways.

While in Texas I had a chance to go to a coloring retreat put on by some amazing artists!  Thanks so much to Zoe from Make it Crafty, Barbara from Little Miss Muffet and our one and only Christy from Tiddly Inks.  It was a fantastic weekend filled with laughter and creativity!

So, after the retreat I sat with Torrey in her studio and colored up this image for our Spring challenge at Tiddly Inks.  I took little things away from each of the sponsors at the retreat and added them all to this image.  The pleats and ground were demonstrated by Zoe, the clouds and grass were done by Barbara, and of course, the image is Christy's.  It's called "Flutter by to say Hi".  This card will forever remind me of the fun we all had.

Now it's your turn to hop on over to the Tiddly site and join in the spring challenge fun.  I can't wait to see what you create!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

V's Sweet Ideas - Technique - Coloring
PaperTake Weekly - Anything goes
Paper Makeup Stamps - Pastel colors
Artistic Inspirations - Easter, Anything goes
Craft Challenge - What's the weather where you are?
