A little make to share from Whimsy

Just a quick share today to show off this cutie.  She is called Maya and is part of the new release over at Whimsy Stamps.  Sylvia Zet is the artist and her stuff is so unique and adorable.  I love coloring the images as they just make me happy.  I added several die cuts with this one - the ones on the bottom are from Lawn Fawn (the grass) and Memory Box (the flower border) and the frame is a Spellbinders.  The sentiment stamp is part of the Whimsy release and called Life's Moments and is die cut using the Fancy Label Die.  It's a simple layout, but with very cool results!

Another prize opportunity from Whimsy

Here we are again - back for another new release blog hop from Whimsy Stamps.  There are still lots of prizes up for grabs!  So, make sure you hop along and leave lots of love along the way.  The winners will be posted on the website on Saturday!

I'm sharing with you a card I made with a new stamp from Time for Tea.  J. Davies does such wonderful work and I find coloring her images so easy and enjoyable.

This is one of those images that could be used for just about any occasion.  She is called "Sunflower".  I left the front without a sentiment so that I could add the sentiment inside when the time was right to give this one away.  She is colored with my Copics, the edges distressed a little and then added to some DP's with lace and ribbon.  I finished off the look with some antique photo turns.  Quick and easy one this time around!

Alright then... it's hopping time for you.  Here's where you need to go today and don't forget to leave some lovin' for the chance at the prizes!

Whimsy May Release Blog Hop

It's time for a Whimsy Stamp blog hop to unveil some of the amazing new rubber stamps from the May release... I had a blast working with these adorable stamps this month.

There are plenty of chances to win some great prizes along the way.  Just make sure you leave some love at each stop for a chance to grab these prizes!

For my card I used an image from Crissy Armstrong and made this cute boy card.  The image is called "Fishing Boy".  I normally struggle with masculine/boy cards, but this image made this one come together easily.  He was so easy to color!  I also used the new stamp set called "Bracket Sentiments" and the "Bracket Die Cut" that goes with it to finish off the look of the card.

Now for the rest of the hop - here's where you need to visit!

Tiddly Challenge Time - Head in the Clouds

Our challenge this week at Tiddly Inks is "Head in the Clouds".  We want to see clouds on your project.

I couldn't resist using the Cloud 9  image of Wryn just hanging out in the clouds.  She's just precious and I love the tongue in cheek number 9 .  I added some die cut clouds doodle up to reflect the adorable image.  I put her on some fun cloud design paper from Heidi Grace.  Simple but so cute!

Now it's your turn.  Come join in the fun for a chance to win some great Tiddly images.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - Pastels
Crafting by Design - Anything goes

Whimsy image spotlight

I wanted to share this little make with you using the adorable stamp by Elizabeth Bell called Ms. Picked Sweet Vignette from Whimsy Stamps.  She was released recently along with several other adorable images.

I cut out the heart so I could put some great matching design paper behind her, then just added the sentiment cut using the Notables 3 die cut and stamped with the matching set called Aged to Perfection.  I love these sentiments that can be used so easily!  Great sets!!!  I used a die cut piece behind her to give it some interest, then added mats and a little lace.  It turned out sweet.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Penny's Paper Crafty - 2 or more patterned papers
Little Red Wagon - seeing spots
Fab N Funky - pretty hair

Jodi --- You're here!  That means you're done!

For my card I worked with the adorable image from Tiddly Inks called Danni Dress Up.  Colored her with my Copics then fussy cut her out.

For the background I used a metal stencil I had with the airbrush system from Perfect Layers.  I have a couple of tips for this - make sure your marker is "very" wet, as that helps a lot.  I actually used a Fantastic Stick that I wet with my Copic re-inker.  Worked well!  The accent color on it is a cheap kids marker that worked in the system as well.  You have to be very patient and work it over and over again, but I am thrilled with the results.  I also used the Perfect Layer rules as I have been a fan of these for years and years.  They are a "must have" in my book as I don't craft without them.

Make sure you stop by Christy's blog as she has drawn up a new image for release soon and has a free give away just for the blog hoppers!

Wryn - Sunny Day comes with Wryn, a sunflower border and a little free sentiment
you can find her HERE

Hope you enjoyed the hop today!!!
