TPE Sketch - Stamping Bella

A simple sketch from The Pink Elephant was the jump-start for these cards. I used a cut from a new Cricut cartridge for the frame and some wonderful papers that were a "freebie" from My Minds Eye in one of the latest card magazine packages. Liked the first one so much, I decided to duplicate it for a few other occassions I needed to send cards for this week. Fun, bright, happy and easy! What more could you ask for?

ICSketches 80 - Graphic 45

The first time that I saw Graphic 45 papers, I was in love! These papers are so rich in design and culture. I have a deep-rooted passion for vintage images and they have used so many in their papers that my biggest dilema is all the choices.
This card is being submitted for the ICSketches 80... Check out the blog link on the right for more inspiration!
While I was trying to photograph the card, I had a visitor. And since this is the orginal Kaboo, I thought it only appropriate to add her photo here as well. Her full name is Kitten Kabootle, but more often than not, she just's Boo Boo or Kitty. But she is the one that started the whole Kaboo theme I've got going on here. Gotta love that cat!

SSSC82 - Cosmo Cricket

I adore Cosmo Cricket! Whether I am working with their latest release, or finding past treasures of bits and pieces in my scrap boxes, I find designing with their product a breeze... It almost designs itself. The colors are so rustic and the patterns easily adaptable to whatever mood I want to portray. I'm sending this one off to them as a thank you for their most recent help with my project. Hope they enjoy the blast from the past Cosmo product.

Also, thought I would submit this one to the Sweetest Thing sketch 82. Found this sketch fun to use and easy to work with. Thanks for stopping by!

Card Patterns Sketch 77 - Copic

I fell in love with this line of stamps for a couple of reasons... First, I grew up with HollyHobby and these have the same sweet feel and look to them. Second, I couldn't wait to start filling in all the wonderful details with my Copics - they just seem perfect for this medium. Third, the name... Sarah Kay is the name of my sweet baby-girl who has been with the Lord for a while now. I had to buy several of them, and don't tell my hubby but I've already put a couple of bids on a few more on Ebay. =)
I made this card to send to the wonder and gracious people at Copic. I used the Card Patterns Sketch 77 to design it. A little hand stitching adds some detail. The buttons and ribbon are from my stash, with no clue who to credit them to. The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye. Just a happy little card with such an adorable image.

CCCB Week 18 and Another B-Line Design Card

Here's another great image from B-Line Designs... I just love the sassy feel of this "On the Run" stamp. I added some fun patterned paper from Die Cuts W/ A View and this card came together easily. I also added touches of glitter to both the patterned paper and the Copic-colored stamped image to give it the bling factor. It has a very Euro-feel to it, don't you think?

2s4y Sketch 58 - Krafty Thursday Spotted Chick - B-Line Designs

As soon as I saw this stamp from B-Line Designs, I knew I had to do a "support" card... I love love love the designs that Bev comes up with for her stamps. They are so unique and original and just right down my alley.... Vintage! I adore the way this one came out... So fun!

The sketch is from 2s4y - at least it's my loose interpretation of it... and it's also for the Krafty Thursday over at one of my favorite blogs, The Spotted Chick. Check my links at the left to find either of those blogs for more eye candy!
I am not sure who the patterned pink paper is from, although my guess is it's an old piece from Provo Craft. The brown dotted paper is My Mind's Eye. The rest is just cardstock, lots of distressing and stippling with sepia ink and some ribbon from Creative Impressions.

Thanks for stopping by... Enjoy your Friday!

Card Patterns 76, Color Throwdown 104 - My Favorite Things

This is a triple hitter! It's a thank you card to send to the wonderful folks at My Favorite Things, plus a card to submit for the current Color Throwdown #104 and for the Card Patterns sketch 76.

I love the images of todays stamps, but occassionally I get caught up in the current colors, themes and the such... Every now and then it's nice to use a very modern stamp and still be able to make it work in a more detressed, aged card. I also love to use up old supplies...it's an awesome feeling when you find that piece of paper that just seems to fit the mood you're looking for. This old stuff from Provo Craft worked perfectly. I added some chipboard letters from We R Memory Keepers, modified to fit the color scheme, a perfect resting place for this cute stamp.

Originally I had brads in the upper right corner to keep with the sketch. They just seemed like after-thoughts. So, instead I found some butterflies I could stamp... adding some sepia stippled ink over all of the stamped images helped tone them down to match the feel of the paper. I am very happy with the way it turned out...

MTSC85 Sketch - Prima Marketing

I loved working with this sketch from Mercy! I love these old stamps from Hero Arts, they are probably one of my most used sets. Stacking them and coloring with my Copics made a fun focal point... I added a few Prima flowers and leaves and even used some of the packaging from Prima - it's just too cute to throw away! Throw in some vintage patterned paper from DejaViews and a little silk ribbon from Creative Impressions and voila... Thanks Prima for your support in our project!

2s4y Sketch 58 - StampingBella

I used the sketch 58 over at 2sketches4you to design this card for StampingBella. This is by far one of my favorite stamps from their line because this is exactly how my daughter used to carry our tolerant cat Rippley around all the time. I couldn't wait to use it!

I used a couple different texture plates/folders from CuddleBug and Sizzix on the white cardstock. The pattern paper is from my scraps bin, but I believe it's DoodleBug, the flowers are Prima and the stamp is colored using Copics. I stippled the edge of the stamp with some SU yellow and finished the card with some ribbon from the dollar bin at Michaels.

Now to put it in the mail and take my now much older daughter off back to school shopping and registering her for High School....ACK! Where did the cute little girl go?

Glue Arts ... You are fabulous!

This sassy lady came from My Favorite Things - she seemed the perfect pairing for this "thank you" card to send to the fabulous people at Glue Arts. Gotta love the pink and green combo!!!
