I was immediately drawn to this background stamp from Fiskars. I bought the set, not knowing for sure what I would do with it. The other night I stamped it and just started playing with my Copics - before I knew it, I had a beautiful background for a fun Asian inspired card. The sentiments and lamps are from the same set, but the Geisha is from an Inkadinkado set. I painted the flowers, kamono, and sentiments with a mixture of interference red pigment powder mixed with some water and just a drop of white glue. This gives those elements a wonderful shimmer that either showed way too much or not enough in the photos. I ended up loving the effect it had on the feel of the card.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Ribbon Carousel - #8 - Color It
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
A Spoon Full of Sugar - #157 - Ribbons and Bows
Cute Daisy May - Pile on those Flowers
Scrapbook Sisters - #41 - Anything Goes -DT call
Deep Ocean Challenge - #2 - Flowers
Emerald Faeries - #3 - Petals
Hoping your day is tops!
