Back "OnLine"

I have taken a much needed, and if I can say it myself, much deserved break from blogging... or for that matter, I haven't even been doing much card making either.  I have been playing around with art journaling, mixed media and the such - and loving it!

But lately I've been missing the therapeutic feel of creating cards. The simple act of coloring images and creating something that allows me to give just a little piece of myself with each card I gift to someone.

I've missed being connected to other artists who inspire me, stretch me into new found passions and help me to become a better artist just by sharing their wonderful work with the world.

So, here I am... back to what I love!  Back to what brings joy and peace into my hectic and crazy life.  Back to my roots of paper crafting and back to sharing artwork on my blog.

First card I want to share uses a stamp from one of my all-time favorite stamp makers - Art Impressions.  The older I get the more these "oldies" stamps crack me up (mostly because they ring all too true).

I can't look at this card and not think of my dear dear bestest friend, Torrey Beth of Left Field Studio.  She's on the left, I'm on the right... it's just us, body-types and all!

Simple design, but the fun is in the quotes.  Inside says something to the effect of "Friends always know just the right thing to say".

The stamp set is called Selma and Gladys.  Isn't it wonderful?

As long as I'm back, might as well enter this into a few blog challenges, right?  So, I'll enter the following challenges...

Art Impressions - Anything goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything goes
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - Frame it
Love to Scrap Challenge - Anything goes
The Paper Players - Clean & Simple Beach

Well that's it for me for now... but I won't be gone so long this time around.

Hugs!
Jodi
