CYP #92 - Mythical Creatures - A Day For Daisies

Our sponsor at Craft Your Passion this week is one of my all time favorite digital stamp designers, A Day For Daisies. She has such a unique and whimsical style that evokes such a feeling of being in a fantasy world. I just love designing with her stamps.

Our challenge this week is "Mythical Creatures" - something A Day For Daisies has a ton of great images to match. I thought this sweet little mermaid made an adorable birthday card with her bouquet of balloons. These design papers are from Recollections, the sentiment stamp from TCP and the image is colored with Copics. Simple but sweet!

You should pop over to Craft Your Passion and join us this week. The winning card will receive a great prize from A Day For Daisies and I would love to see your creations!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:

Make It Monday - #71 - Linky Party
Sunday's With Crissy - #25 - Beat the Mid-Winter Blues
A Day For Daisies - #34 - Pretty Pastels
Catch The Bug - January - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by...

Craft Your Passion Blog Hop

Welcome to Craft Your Passion Challenges VERY FIRST "Anything Goes" Blog Hope!!

We are very excited about all the changes our blog has gone through in the last couple of months and wanted to throw a party. What better way to do that then to have a BLOG HOP!!!

If you have hopped over from Melissa's, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to stop by and would like to join our hop from the beginning, please go to Craft Your Passion Challenges and follow along for a chance to win some AMAZING blog candy along the way and PRIZES at the end.

All Craft Your Passion Design Team Members are going to be playing along in thehope with some very special guest designers.

Each designer along the way if featuring a project that showcases a digital image from at least one of our amazing Blog Hop sponsors. What's more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at Craft Your Passion Challenges for a chance to win one of several prizes.

But there's a twist... Be sure to visit all the stops and leave a comment. Once you have finished the hop we would like you to create a project using at least one digital stamp and enter it with our Linky tool.

While you are hopping, be sure to check out the blog candy the designer's might have to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it.

Sponsor - Mo Manning

I used a couple of different Mo Manning stamps for these first two cards - I love her stuff and there are so many choices that you are sure to find a stamp for any need.

This card was created using a sweet image from A Day For Daisies - just adorable hand drawn images with such a unique sense of whimsy! I enjoy them and find them so inspirational to work with.

Next stop by Jessica's blog to see what she has in store for you today!

Remember once you have hopped to all the stops and left your comments (we will be checking), it's your turn to show us your "Anything Goes" project.

Make sure to include a digital stamp somewhere on your project and link up your project over at Craft Your Passion Challenges by midnight CST, September 21st to be eligible for the prizes. Winners will be announced on our Monday, September 26th Challenge post.

Thank you all for hopping with us today and don't forget to "like" Craft Your Passion Challenges on Facebook and join in our September Facebook Fan of the Month Challenge under the "duscussions" tab!!

A card for Jen

When I needed an image to make a card for my niece's birthday, I immediately thought of this cute fairy from A Day For Daisies. I'm not sure why, but for some reason, it reminds me of Jen when she was younger. I had fun coloring her with my Copic's, trying to keep it soft and pastel, but as always, I have a hard time leaving white, so it ended up a little darker than I pictured. I do like it though. The background is all Copic colored as well, and the wings were just touched with a little yellow, then I used my concoction of shimmer paint to give it sparkle. (I have the instructions for this in my tutorial section if you are interested). I distressed the edges of the papers, (some DCWV and some Basic Grey), then finished it with a little baker's twine from My Minds Eye and a matching button on the stamped sentiment. I think Jen will appreciate it this happy little card.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

Charisma Cards #29 - Summer Colors

Pollycraft Monday #102 - Summer Fun

Paper Shelter #23 - Spotlight on Green

Paper Take Weekly - Getting Cute

Ribbon Carousel #12 - Button

Make it Monday #46 - Linky Party

Copic Creations #54 - Pastel Colors

Thanks for stopping by!
