CYP #116 - Things With Wings

Craft Your Passion is starting another challenge - Things With Wings!  So many adorable images and things to choose from over at our sponsor, Stitchy Bear... Or, pick any image you want, as long as there are things with wings on your project.

I colored this elegant image with my Copics and put together this sweet inspirational card using a sentiment stamped onto a Cuddlebug diecut label, then highlighted with my glitter pen.  A punched background, some great design papers, a bubbly bow and some gems finish it off.

Delicious Doodles #22 - 1,2,3 challenge

It's challenge time again at Delicious Doodles.  Our theme this week is 1, 2, 3 - use one of something, two of something else and three of yet another thing.  For my example card I used one die cut frame, two designer papers and three gems.

This image (A mother's love) is one of my all time favorites of Teri's.  It is so sweet and simple, but has such great impact and evokes deep emotion when I see it.  It is a perfect image for a new baby card,  or a Mother's Day card.

Hope you stop by and join us this week.

I will be entering this into the following challenges:

Paper Play Challenge - #25 - Use a die cut
Southern Girl Challenges - #45 - Oh baby baby
Crafts and Me Challenges - #89 - Anything goes
Creative Card Crew - #13 - Easy as 1, 2, 3
Party Time Tuesday - #73 - Picture/color inspiration

CYP #115 - Flips and Folds

It's that time again over at Craft Your Passion and this week we are challenging you to a fun task - Flips and Folds.  I get in a rut every once in a while, only making plain square or rectangle cards... but this challenged me to come up with something different.  And we got to work with one of my favorite digital stamp companies - Tiddly Inks.  Aren't their images just soooo cute?

For this card I colored up my image with my Copics, then made a folded card that has the middle floating from the folds... It was the perfect spot to highlight the cute image.  I thought it looked like a great card for a young daughter to give her daddy.  Still "girlish" but with the browns and creams, fitting for a father.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

Make it Monday #94 - Linky Party
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - #15 - Coffee & Cream
Tiddly Inks Challenge - #88 - Father's Day

Delicious Doodles - #21 For the Fellas

So, I had a total "blond moment" this last week and failed to post my card for the Delicious Doodles challenge... Ugh, me thinkst I need a vacation!

Here it is... Our theme this challenge is "For the fella's" so I made this one using an awesome Norton bike image from Teri's great collection.  I fell in love with this saying a couple of years ago and had to pair it with this image - it just seemed to fit perfectly!

Come over and join us - you've still got about a week.  Show us your guy cards for a chance to win some wonderful images.

OMG - I can finally shout from the rooftops!

I've been waiting all week to be able to get up on my roof and scream "Oh My Gosh!  I did it!!!"

I am thrilled and honored to join the Kenny K design team.  Huge thrill for me!  So not only do I get a chance to work with his amazing images, and such an elite and awesome group of artists, but... Torrey and I actually both made it!  So, I'll get to be inspired by my bestee even more!

We (ooh, I get to say "we" now when talking about the Kenny K's team...=) added some guys to the mix this time around.  I can't wait to see what Mike and Andy have to offer.  But that meant a new name was in order.  I mean after all, Kenny K Krafty Girls doesn't work now.  So, starting July 1st, there will be a title and new spot to find our challenges.  Kenny K Krafty Krew can be found here...  You can still enter challenges at the original Kenny K Krafty Girls challenge blog until July 1st.

Here's our new krew:

Krew veterans

I will be joiningTeam A and Torrey is on Team B!  Hahaha, not gearing up for any competition or anything here, but TEAM A ROCKS!  hehehe.  You can find a list of Team A's names and blogs on my side bar.

I've already started working on my first card for our first July challenge!  It's soooo much fun working with these images!  I can't wait to show it off, so "ya'll come on back now, ya' hear".

Kenny K - The Dream Team DT Call

About six months ago I was having a conversation with Torrey (bestee 4ever) regarding our "dream" design teams.  We did the whole "If you could pick ANY design team to be on, which one would it be?"  We both have similar taste but I was surprised how different our lists were... that is except one.  We both have Kenny K in our top three!  I mean, who wouldn't want to work with his delicious images all the time?

So when I saw they were having a design team call the first thing I did was tell myself "You're entering!" - duh, no brainer!  The second thing I did was get a hold of Torrey!  Again, duh!  But the hardest thing was deciding which cards to submit for the DT call.  I had a bunch already done to pick from but also decided it was a great excuse to buy a few of his new images to play with...

So, here are the results!  I've had such fun inking up these images - they are such a dream to color.  Detailed enough to be challenging and interesting, but not so much that it's impossible to get the results I want.  I adore working with these images and love that the style is such a great mix of eclectic, modern, cartoon and realistic!

What else can I say except being part of  Kenny K's team would be amazing!

CYP #113 - Chevrons

It's Monday!  That means it's time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion.  Our challenge this week is to use chevrons on your project.  I'll be honest, I didn't find any chevron's in my stash that I thought worked with this image - so I decided to pick a paper I liked and make my own.  I paper pieced the colorful background, colored this adorable Crafty Sentiments image up with my Copics, cut it with a Nestabilities, added a sentiment, a ribbon and these great lace flowers. Tada!

I will be entering this in the following challenges:
Crafty Calender - Flowers in bloom
Saturday Challenge - Anything goes
Crafts & Me - Add a ribbon
Diva's by Design - Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
The Ribbon Girls - Use ribbon or lace

Sweet Zebra Wishes

I adore this set of stamps I got as a "freebie" with a magazine I purchased several years ago.  I blew it and didn't write down the manufacturer when I put them away, so I can't give credit where credit is due... but isn't it just toooo cute?  I love it!  And it was the perfect choice for making this zoo themed baby shower card.  I was inspired to keep it simple and clean, just adding the image, some doodles and the big bubbly bow.  The image is colored very lightly with my Copics and the corners are punched with a great punch from EK Success.  I thought it was the perfect match for the zebra image.  Simple but oh so cute!

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
Party Time Tuesdays - #70 - Anything Goes
Ribbon Carousel - #55 - Photo Inspiration
Fab 'n' Funky - #123 - Celebrations
Crafts and Me - Add a Ribbon
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
