Inspiration Friday - Tiddly Inks

I can't tell you how glad I am that it's Friday!  It has been a long week and the weekend can't get here fast enough for me.  Plus, that means we have lots to share over at Tiddly Inks.  It's a chance to see some great inspiration from our wonderful design team using these great images.  Head on over and be ready to be blown away by the talent!

I picked this image called "Inking of You" to work with on this card.  I grabbed some design papers from my stash and colored her up to match (using my Copics of course).  I used a couple of different Sizzix dies to make the swirls and the flowers are just circle punches with pieces cut out and layered.  I didn't add a sentiment on the outside but inside it says "Inking of you on your birthday".

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - Linky party
Charisma Cardz Challenge - Happy birthday
Simon Says Stamp - Anything goes
Digital Tuesday - Spring colors
Party Time Tuesday - Anything goes
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Lots of layers
Lexi's Creations - Female birthday

Made With Love

I recently discovered the wonderful images from MayzyArts because she sponsored a challenge that I won... Imagine what a difficult choice it was to figure out what images to get when I saw her great store.  Picking just a couple was really hard, so I of course bought some too.

I fell in love with this wonderful image - I've been looking for a pregnant image because my daughter is carrying my first grandchild and I wanted to make her a mom-day card to show her my love and support.  This image was perfect for that!

I used some great design papers from my scraps and added the beautiful frame from Spellbinders to show her off.  I also tried my hand at making a pearl spray to add behind the bow.  Some pearls and sentiment finished the look.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Craft Your Passion - Make it Cute
Lexi's Creation - Mother's Day
Charisma Cardz - Die Cuts

Crafty Catz - Sparkle and a Bow

Tiddly Inks Catch Up

Oh my but I have to add "epic fail" to my resume this week... I have been so caught up in my craft studio move and redesign, volleyball tourneys, parties for my daughter and work that I have totally spaced out posting my last few projects for Tiddly Inks...  You would think I went blond this week or something! hehe

So, first is my post for Inspiration Friday... This is a new image at Tiddly Inks that I just love.  It's called "Hopping By - Wren" and I think she is adorable!  I inked her up with my Copics, then cut her into the octagon shape.  I added papers from My Minds Eye along with lots of ribbon / lace embellishment from a fun pack I picked up in the $2.00 bins at Michaels.  Then I finished it off with this wonderful wire accented butterfly that came in the fabric department in a long strand of multicolored flutterbys.  It's a wonderful spring-looking color pallet that makes me think of Easter and spring blossoms.

The second thing I want to share today is a project I did for a new challenge we have going on over at Tiddly Inks.  It's time to stretch out of the comfy card zone and try something new.  Our challenge is "Anything but a card" this next few weeks.  Remember, you need to use a Tiddly Ink image on your project to be eligible for the prizes or features.

For my project I wanted to make a journal for my daughter - she's going through so many changes and growing up so fast that I thought it would be a great way for her to get her writing again.  I used a bunch of scraps of some great design papers to cover the binder and add some accents to it.  I added some die cut tags that have "Me, Myself, I" on them in acrylic letters.  Then I inked up another adorable image from Tiddly Inks called "Aida Gonna Miss You", fussy cut her out and popped her on the main tag.  That's it, nothing to extravagant or difficult.  Now let's see what you can do with our challenge this week... Time to stretch!

I would like to enter the Hopping By card in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Easter/Spring
Craft Your Passion - Ribbons or lace
Digital Tuesday - Easter

Time to "Walk like an Egyptian" - or maybe hop like one

It's finally time!!!! We've been planning this and working on it for a while now and I can't wait to share with you all of the amazing and wonderful artwork created for this release.

It's "Hop like an Egyptian" time!!!  Tiddly Inks and Make it Crafty have collaborated on an awesome release of digital stamps with an Egyptian theme.  There are soooo many new images to see and enjoy that we had to do a combined blog hop to showcase all of them.  And to add to the fun, there is a hieroglyphic code to follow along the way and loads of great prizes to be given out.

If you didn't have a chance to start from the beginning, click HERE to go to the main page to start the hop.
To keep this hop simple, we are going to be hopping from the main post HERE and not linking from blog to blog. To make this work, we suggest you open a new window for each link (click CNTRL and the link you wish to visit), which will open the next blog and keep the main post up too...that simple. This way, you can easily navigate between each blog in the hop and return to the main page when you are ready to go to the next blog.
I have a couple of projects to share with you.  My first one combines both a background image from Make it Crafty called "Ancient Egyptian City" and a Tiddly Ink image called "Walk Like You Mean It".  I colored it up with my Copics and added a fun sentiment made in a photo editing program.  I can't wait to give this one to my older sister this year - she is the original queen of d'nile!  hehe  ;)

My next one features one of my favorite images from this collection from Tiddly Inks called "Jackie 2".  I wanted her on kraft paper and decided to try my hand at Prisma colored pencils on kraft.  Gotta say, not ready to give up my Copics but I love the way this one turned out... It's such a different look than what I could achieve with my Copics.  I added some clip art images for the frame around the Spellbinders die cut, a few feathers and a silk cloth torn ribbon to tie it all together.  And of course, I had to add some bling!

You've also found one of the clues by stopping by here...

So, leave a little love and enjoy the rest of the hop... There is so much to see and enjoy on this one!  Go back to the home page HERE to keep on hopping!

Tiddly Inks Challenge - CAS

It's Tiddly Tuesday and that mean's it's time for another great challenge!  This one is a struggle for some of us (those who "never know when to stop") because the challenge is "Clean and Simple" - not a normal style for most of the girls on this design team - including me!  But a lot of Christy's images lend well to this design principal because they so easily stand on their own without a ton of embellishing!  I used this adorable image called "Wryn - Grow a little love" and it was perfect for this simple card.  The only thing it needed was some embossed papers and a couple of scraps cut into banner shapes.  Simple, but lovely!

Now it's your turn... I want to see what you can do with clean and simple.  Does it come easy?

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make it Monday - linky party
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Twisted Tuesday - spring into green
CRAFT Challenge - use embossing
Crafty Bloggers Network - spring or pastel
Totally Gorjuss - anything goes with pink
Craft Us Crazy - anything goes

Inspiration Friday at Tiddly Inks

It's Friday - and you know what that means?  Lots of great inspiration over at Tiddly Inks Challenges.  There's also a wonderful new coloring tutorial created by our very own Alyce... If you haven't checked out any of her tutorials, you are missing out!  She is amazing...  There are lots of great cards to inspire - so pop on over!

I used this adorable image called Donna to make this quick card.  I colored her up with my Copics, then layered her on top of some old scraps of design papers... added some fun ribbon and an embossed sentiment.  It's been cold here so I was ready for a bright and cheery springtime card - and this one fit that category.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Diva's by Design - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Crafty Ribbon Challenge - anything with ribbon
Craft Us Crazy - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - something old (ribbon, papers, image)
Party Time Tuesday - anything goes
