Catch up time

I admit it... without being on design teams it's hard to find time to craft, or take the time to post here after I actually do create something.  That may not be right, but it is what it is...

I have been in my studio a little bit lately, mostly creating Christmas cards, but before I get into that realm, I wanted to show off this adorable menu board I made for my daughter's new home.  I love the way it turned out and can't wait to make one for myself soon.

I love the idea of meal planning (although I'm not good at it), and I thought it would be fun to make something for Haley's beautiful new place that would help her plan a little too.  She loves maps and the seaside colors and I fell in love with the ruler border.  After those choices, it came together easily.  I left all the little meal slips blank so that she and Patrick could put their own favorite meals on them.  Before grocery shopping you just pick your meals for the week and voila, all the guess work is done.

If I could have gotten a few more of these frames I would make several more as I think they would make wonderful wedding presents...but I haven't found just the right frame again!  Oh well, I'll keep my eye out.

This project will be entered into a few challenges:

Crafty Gals Corner - Anything but a card
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - Anything goes
Crafting by Design - Anything goes
Crafts Galore - Anything goes

Back again soon with some other things I've been working on.

Thanks for stopping by...
Hugs,
Jodi

Jodie, what a stunning project! I love the design of your menu planner board, with its little chalkboard pegs and jars of 'favourite meal' tags, all decorated with tiny shells. The frame is amazing and the bunting is such a fun touch.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us at the Crafts Galore Encore November Challenge, “Anything Goes”. Good Luck and we hope to see you again next month!
