CYP #76 - Occupational Hazards - Dude Time Doodles

Our challenge over at Craft Your Passion this week is "Occupational Hazards"... and I got a chance to work with this great image from Dude Time Doodles. I normally struggle with masculine cards, but this one was cake because of this wonderful image. I can't wait to give this card away to just the right man. It's such a guy thing!

I colored the image with my Copics, used some great papers from DCWV - masculine pack - added eyelets to frame the image... the sentiment just seemed to fit! The end result is a fun card that will bring someone a smile.

You should come over to Craft Your Passion and join in all the fun - there's a great chance to win some wonderful prizes, enjoy some inspiration and make some new friends. Hope to see your work soon!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Just Us Girls - #102 - Color challenge
Cute Card Thursday - #182 - Anything Goes
My Mum's Craft Shop - #23 - Birthday

Have a great week!

Delicious Doodles Challenge #2 - Cute as a button

Delicious Doodles has another great challenge going - hop on over to get the details about our "Cute as a button" challenge #2.

My card for this challenge this week uses this adorable squirrel and a fun little saying that seemed married from the beginning. I colored her with my Copics, cut her out and added some simple background papers. Then a few buttons, some fitting corner pieces and easy-peasy, it's done! This was a fun one to complete.

I'd love to see what you can do with buttons - so come join us in the fun. You'll have a great opportunity to win some wonderful images!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday #182 - Anything Goes

Warm wishes for Amanda

I made this card for a coworker and friend who is leaving our beautiful state for a new life in Seattle. I wanted to make sure she knew that we all "wished her well".

You gotta love the "house-mouse" stamps - they are just too cute. I have more of them than I can count and was thrilled to find a good use for this one. I colored it with my Copics, added some scraps of design paper from DCWV, some hand stitching and a bubbly big ribbon and bow. The sentiment was created with my computer. The edges of everything are stipple brushed with my favorite ink for adding that distressed, vintage look... Amanda seemed to like it! And that's what matters, right?

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

The Paper Shelter - #26 - Real of faux stitching

Make it Monday - #49 - Linking party

Sundays with Crissy - #20 - Keep it simple stamper

Cute Card Thursday - #177 - Clean and Simple

Charisma Card - #32 - Distressing

Thanks for stopping in - leave me some love if you inclined - I always love hearing from you!

Adorable Little Bear

I've gone flower crazy!!! It's been so much fun creating my own flowers - last night (I didn't sleep much btw) I put on a season of 24 and just started playing. I've made several different types, still working on some others. This card came together somewhere about episode 12! LOL. I got this freebie cute little bear stamp in a magazine package from The Wild Ones... Isn't he just too adorable? I used the Mojo Monday sketch that seemed to fit this image really easily. There were no design struggles on this one at all. I colored the image with distress inks, although it looks just like Copics this time around. I punched the image with a large scallop punch, added hand-stitching and bling and it was done before I could see how Jack deals with the huge mess CTU is faced with this time, hehehe!

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:

MoJo Monday - sketch #196

Southern Girls Challenge - #21 - anything goes

Cute Card Thursday - #169 - Birthstones

The Paper Shelter - #18 - Punches & Dies

Grey and Wrinkled

I fell in love with this stamp set from Inky Antics as soon as I saw the caption that went with it. I love the "wrinkled grey" comment because I feel that way most days! I can't wait to give this one to just the right person (you know who you are...wink wink).I stamped the images three times, colored them with my Copics and layered them for dimension. I added a little bit of tolling to round the edges before adding the final layer - the ears. The balloon is colored then I sprayed it with hairspray and covered it with glitter... I find that's an awesome way to get glitter or shimmering powders to stay without adding too much goop and tack. I used a fun flower card as my base, covering it with patterned paper from Heidi Grace. I used my Cricut to make the loopy boarder, added the Hampton Arts sentiment and popped that all off the background. A tied string goes from the trunk of the elephant up to a pretty little bow on the balloon. I think it finished nicely.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Just Add Ink - #70 - Round Sketch

Cute Card Thursday - #167 - Embellish It

Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Hope you're enjoying a wonderful weekend!
