Grey and Wrinkled

I fell in love with this stamp set from Inky Antics as soon as I saw the caption that went with it. I love the "wrinkled grey" comment because I feel that way most days! I can't wait to give this one to just the right person (you know who you are...wink wink).I stamped the images three times, colored them with my Copics and layered them for dimension. I added a little bit of tolling to round the edges before adding the final layer - the ears. The balloon is colored then I sprayed it with hairspray and covered it with glitter... I find that's an awesome way to get glitter or shimmering powders to stay without adding too much goop and tack. I used a fun flower card as my base, covering it with patterned paper from Heidi Grace. I used my Cricut to make the loopy boarder, added the Hampton Arts sentiment and popped that all off the background. A tied string goes from the trunk of the elephant up to a pretty little bow on the balloon. I think it finished nicely.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Just Add Ink - #70 - Round Sketch

Cute Card Thursday - #167 - Embellish It

Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Hope you're enjoying a wonderful weekend!

Mushroom house & ladybug

The photo's don't show it, but this is a much smaller card then I am used to making. The stamped images are tiny, so I kept the card little to keep them in proportion. I colored three layers with my Copics then paper pieced them together for lots of dimension and interest. When I found this cute bubble sentiment, I knew it was the perfect thing to add. I cut out a fun shape from one of my Cricut cartridges for the background. After that, it needed very little to make it complete.

This is a great summer card to let someone know they are in your thoughts.
I will be entering this into the following challenges:
Make it Monday #39
Sunday with Crissy - #18 - Here Comes the Sun
Stampalot Challenge - June - Poppy Field inspiration

Thanks for taking time to stop by!
