4th of July - Crafter's Companion

It's about time to celebrate the birth of our great nation!  I love the 4th of July with picnics, outside games, lying on the grass looking up and of course...the fireworks!

For this card I colored up some of the images from the Crafter's Companion Patriotic sets with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, the put them in a frame from Sheena's A Little Bit Sketchy - Just Torn stamp to make it look like they blew right through the page.  I love the combination!

I think I'll add this card to a couple of challenges:

Thanks for joining in the fun today!

Hugs,
Jodi

I have just a quick second to share this new card for Crafter's Companion.  I created it using the stamp called Sunbeam and the Sunbeam Accessories from the Verity Rose collection.  These aren't available in the store yet, but that will change soon.  For now, keep an eye out on HSN for Sara Davies to appear where you can purchase the entire line.

I colored her up with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers on the Spectrum Noir Ulta Smooth white cardstock - then used just a touch of the Crystal Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to add some shimmer.

Crafty Cardmakers - stitching real or faux
Love to Scrap - anything goes
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - anything goes

Retirement Tag - Crafter's Companion

I admit it!  I play favorites!  And this one is on the top of the list!  This simple retirement tag turned out to be one of the favorite projects I have completed in the last couple of months.  It just makes me smile.  Maybe it's the sunshiny colors, maybe it's the tongue in cheek sentiment, or maybe it's the fact that I created it while I was visiting with my bestee, Torrey... but for whatever reason, it makes me happy!

I created it for the Verity Rose release over at Crafter's Companion using the Sunbeam accessory stamps and my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (see complete list below).

This one deserves to be shared in some challenges:

Easter Decoration - Crafter's Companion

Back today to share a little decoration I made for Easter Sunday dinner.  I love rosettes, and have used them on many projects like door reefs and picture frames, but this was the first time I created a collage of them for a table decoration.  I think it turned out fabulous.

I put together a simple tutorial for this project that can be found on the Crafter's Companion blog.  Check it out if you are interested in creating one for any occasion.

I used the adorable Bebunni stamps from Crafter's Companion and colored them up with my Spectrum Noir pens.

Sending you warm Easter holiday thoughts and hugs,
Jodi

You are Amazing - Crafter's Companion

Hello crafty-peeps out in blogland.  I'm back again today to show off this new make for Crafter's Companion... A sweet card for any occasion.

I used an adorable stamp from Crafter's Companion's Angelica & Friends collection called Jessica.  I colored her up with my Spectrum Noir markers (see list of colors below), and then placed her on a framed die cut from Die'Sire called Cameo.  I used the Spectrum Sparkle crystal clear pen to add a touch of sparkle to her wings and to the flowers on the embossed paper, which was embossed using the Sheena Petite Floral embossing folder.  A simple sentiment stamp finishes the card.

I think I'll try this one in a few challenges:

Through the Craft Room Door - anything goes

Say Cheese --- House Mouse

Wow - two posts in one day... what the heck?  Wanted to toss out another quick one before I call it quits for the day.  This is a simple card I made using the House Mouse stamp called Say Cheese.  I colored him with my Spectrum Aqua markers then used some of the Spectrum Noir's to add a few shadows.  I kept the design very simple, just using grey as a neutral and the shades of coral to highlight the little guy.  I love the stitch designs from the Lawn Fawn die cuts that add a textural touch.

This card is entered in a few challenges:

House Mouse & Friends - Zodiac or anything goes
Fab 'n' Funky - buttons or bows
Love to Scrap - anything goes

Hope to see ya again soon!

Jodi

Dream Banner - Crafter's Companion

Sharing a make today that uses a whole bunch of stamps from Crafter's Companion as well as Spectrum Noir markers and the Spectrum Sprakle pens... (Complete list and links below).

I found this canvas banner pieces in the clearance bin and thought they would make a pretty wall hanging with a little bit of decoration.  I stamped directly on them using a permanent die, then colored them with my Spectrum Noir pens, and then added a little bling with the Sparkle pens as well.  I strung them on a pretty wired ribbon and used a bit of hot glue to attach them along the ribbon.  I made a pretty bow to finish off the top!  Easy peasy!

Crafter's Companion supplies:

Spectrun Noir markers - CG1, CG2, LV1, LV2, PL1, PL2, PL4, BT2, BT4, CT2, GB5
Flutterby Stamps, Sheena - A Little Bit Scenic French 50's Cafe, A Little Bit Scenic Provence, As Scene on Screen Wouldn't it be Lovely 1

Just for You - Crafter's Companion

It's the last day of the year and I figured I better toss in one more project post before we off to a night of family games and celebration.  I wish for each of you a wonderful and happy new year ahead.

I love the way this one turned out... I used a piece of acetate to make the card base, then created the inside backdrop with some patterned papers, a ribbon and the adorable Crafter's Companion image from BeBunni called Sweet Friend colored up with my Spectrum Noir pens.  I fussy cut him out, then added him to the background underneath the acetate front.  To add some dimension, I die cut the sentiment from some matching patterned paper using the Die'Sire Edge'able Only Word die "Just For You".  (I love these Edge'ables - they make such a statement on the card.)  I adhered the sentiment to the front of the acetate, lining things up so that it doesn't cover up anything underneath.  Some added pears here and there, and some Distress Ink on the edges and voila!  Such a sweet little card.

The Crafter's Companion products I used are:

Spectrum Noir Pens - blender, FS3 FS6 PP3, DG4, CG1, CG2, CR10, PP5, EB2, EB1, BG1, BG2, EB5, PP1, GB8, DG2
Dies - Die'sire Edge'ables - Just for You,

Die'sire Essentials - Scallop square
Stamp - BeBunni Florist Collection - Sweet Friend

Distress Ink - Vintage Photo
Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Premium Cardstock

I think I'll enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Creations Challenge - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - anything goes
Crafty Gals Corner - anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door - anything goes

Thanks for stopping in!  Happy New Year to you and yours!

Hugs,
Jodi
