Crissy Armstrong's Design Team Call

Here's another wonderful image from Crissy Armstrong! I had hoped to get a couple more cards posted for her design team call, but life caught up with me. I hope Crissy can see my love of her images... even if I didn't get a chance to enter as many cards as I wanted.

This is a simple but very cute one I finished a few days ago. I colored it with my Copics, put it on some cute design papers from my stash, a quick sentiment from Hampton Arts and added some stitching, lace and buttons to balance it all out. It will be in the mail on Monday, headed to my wonderful friend in California who is going through some rough times in life. I hope it brings a smile to her face and a warm feeling that she is loved and treasured!

I will be entering this in the following challenges:

Crissy Armstrongs - Design Team Call

Sentimental Sunday - #66 - In the Garden

Ribbon Carousel - #13 - A Stitch in Time

Paper Play Challenge - #0 - In the Garden

Thanks for making the stop here... God bless!

Thanks a Bunch

This was a fun card I put together just to have in my stash... I always like to have some on hand to use when I don't have time to make one for a special occassion. I loved this set of stamps from Stampendous, so versitile. I stamped it several times, colored them each with my Copics, then cut sections apart, tolled them and stacked them back together. Although it might not show in the photos, some areas are as high as four layers. I think it has a great rustic and country feel to it, accented by the pinkyshear border and yellow stitching.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Paper Play - #28 - Things with Wings

Crafts and Me - #43 - Summer Time

Have a great Sunday!

Magic - Just Magic

This card was a labor of love... and much more complicated than it looks.

I started by stamping the fairy and then using a copier to make the image bigger. Than I attached the copy to a piece of black cardstock with temporary adhesive. I used my craft knife to cut out the stamp image sillouette. (I have done titles on scrapbook pages this way for years). I misted it with some glitter spray for extra sparkle, then I put a piece of transparency behind it.

I couldn't find any patterned paper that was vibrant enough for the look I wanted. So I took some glossy cardstock and swiped it with alcohol inks in three different colors. This gave me amazing color! I added a shimmering material over the top of it, then also used that material for the bow.

I popped the stamped image up just a little bit to give it even more demension, added just a little tag with the sentiment. I added white dots from my gel pen for more pop, then lots of black mats and it was done... Told you it was more complicated than it looked! But I love the dramatic way it came out!

I would like to enter this card into these challenges...
