House warming
When Haley and Patrick moved to their new home, I gave them the menu board I featured a while back...but what I didn't share with you then was the card I made to go with it.
Since they love dogs (and have two), I chose this adorable Penny Black Man's Best Friend stamp set. I colored the images up with my trusted Copics, then fussy cut them all. The sentiment was printed on a page of the paper pack I had chosen, and said everything I needed and wanted it to say... So, I just cut it out and added it. I thought it came together well and I know they loved it.
Challenges for this card:
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - anything goes
Through the Craft Room Door - anything goes
Love to Scrap Challenge - anything goes
Artistic Impressions - anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - anything goes
Sending all my local friends a wish for a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday... and all others, a warm hug for a great day.
Thanks for joining me today.

Surprise! Penny Black
Back again today with a cute little card I made using a Penny Black stamp called So Kind. It's a cute little image that could be used for just about any occasion. I love how sweet it is. I colored it using my Spetrum Aqua markers and a paint brush dipped in water for an easy water colored look. I used a new die cut set I just got from Spellbinders called Oval Regalia to frame the image and the sentiment which is also from Penny Black's set called Heartfelt.
I think this card deserves a challenge or two...
Fab 'n' Funky - buttons or bows
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - anything goes
Penny Black & More - one for the girls
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - anything goes
Thanks for the look-see today!
Hugs,
Jodi

You mean the world to me
Here is another one of the images from the Penny Black set I recently got called "Missing You".
I kept this one very simple, although it wasn't my original plan. I love the way the background paper made it look like a muted flower jungle behind the adorable image. So sweet that she didn't need a lot of embellishment to distract from her. The sentiment is also a Penny Black stamp from the set called "Heartfelt" that has so many wonderful sentiments on it. I figure this is a pretty all around use one to have in my stash!
I'll toss this into the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - anything goes
Love to Scrap - two patterned papers
Papertake Weekly - things with wings
Penny Black & More - anything goes
Stamping Sensations - sewing
Penny Black Saturday - three or more patterned papers
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards - feminine & fancy
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,
Jodi

Mixed media card
I love the time that I spent learning new art journaling techniques - and still enjoy creating pages for my art journals. But I also find it very exciting to get a chance to use some of those techniques in my card making as well.
I created the background for this card using water color paper, Tim Holtz tissue paper and my Gelatos. Then I used a Penny Black stamp called Demure and a Penny Black sentiment die cut called Envision to create the focal point of the card. The flowers are colored with watercolors, then I went over the entire stamp with a black gel pen and highlighted it with a PITT pen to bring more dimension to it. I love how dramatic it came out!
I'll enter this into some challenges:
Penny Black and More - Anything goes
That Craft Place - Mixed media
Stamping Sensations - Sew special
Crafty Catz - Anything goes
Chocolate Coffee and Cards - Fancy & Feminine
My Time to Craft - Flowers
Back soon with more from my weekend of crafting!
Hugs,
Jodi

New set of Penny Black stamps
I've been perusing eBay a bunch lately and came across a set of Penny Black stamps that I had never seen before - instant love! Had to have! So when they showed up in my mail this week, I knew that I would be doing some crafting soon!
I spent a little time catching up on my TV shows while I colored her up with my Copics, then kept the card fairly simple, just using a bunch of different patterned papers to showcase the adorable stamp. The set is called "Missing You" and I can't wait to ink up another one of them today. Soooo frickin' adorable!
Challenge time!
Penny Black Saturday - Use three or more patterned papers
Crafty Catz - Anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Fall
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes
Crafting by Design - Anything goes
Penny's Paper-Craft Challenge - Use a sentiment
Hugs and happy weekend!

A card for my bro!
I wanted to share a card today that I made for my brother. His birthday isn't for a few more days, but I think I am safe in assuming that he won't see it here... haha!
I am not very familiar with the stamp company who makes this stamp, Diamonds. It's called "Superman" and I picked it and a couple others up at a garage sale one day. It's marked 1997 and I can't even find reference to them on the web. So, it isn't something you can run out and find. But I LOVE it. It is such a wonderful image for just such an occasion.
I used the wonderful new die cut set I got from Penny Black called "Doodles" that has three sentiment dies in it. I have used this set many times already - so versatile!
I will throw this card into the following challenge rings...
Love To Scrap Challenge - Anything goes
Chocolate, Coffee and Cards - Use a sentiment
Just Add Ink - Card for males
4 Crafty Chicks - Distressing
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - To die for
Paper Girls Challenge - Super heroes
Thanks for stopping by...

Jodi

Birthday card for my baby
It's hard to believe my little girl is turning 19 - how did those years fly by so fast? Well, here is the card I made to help celebrate her special day!
I used an adorable set from Penny Black called "Party Time". I think I used them all, but one is inside. They were fun to color up, although a little tricky to get them all just a smidge different from the next. It's supposed to look like a surprise party, but I'm not so sure I pulled that off... haha. I hope she likes it!
I think this one is up for some challenges... so, I'll stick it into these challenges and see what happens!
Craft Your Passion - Anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything goes
Love to Scrap Challenge - Anything goes
Fussy and Fancy Challenges - Birthdays
The Friday Mashup - Birthdays and Technique
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Summer colors
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Friday.
Hugs,
Jodi
