CYP Challenge #88 - Tag Your It - Stretch and Bubbles

When I saw this adorable image from Stretch and Bubbles, I knew exactly what sentiment I wanted to add to it...it's it just the perfect match? Yea, I thought so too.

Over at Craft Your Passion, our challenge this week is "Tag Your It"... Easy peasy, huh? All you have to do is create a tag, or add a tag, or ... anything with a tag. We've got some great prizes from Stretch and Bubbles and an opportunity to show off your creative ventures...

For this one, I colored her with my Copics to match this great new paper I found from Michaels (I think it was a Reflection's pack to be exact). I created the frame out of small strips of the striped paper (which was my favorite), add some other DP's, the sentiment, a small tag, and a bubbly organza bow... It was done and ready to be sent.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

One Stitch at a Time - #92 - Use a digi
Make it Monday - #67 - Linky party
Joyful Stamper Inspire me Friday - #36 - Link party
Whoopsi Daisy - Sparkle and shine
Paper Sundaes - #99 - Anything Goes

Have a great week!!!

CYP #80 - Pink - Karen's Doodles

Karen's Doodles is the sponsor over at Craft Your Passion Challenges this week. I got this adorable image from them - isn't it just too cute? I colored her with my Copics, sure to use pink for our challenge supporting breast cancer awareness month. I had bought a pair of little girls jeans at our local ARC store the other day just because the embrodery on the legs was sooo cute, but when it came to this card, the pocket seemed a better fit. I added a little silver concho, some distressed patterned papers and some hand stitching to the edges. The sentiment is a Cloud 9 stamp with a simple handwritten note.

Now it's your turn - add pink to your card with two or more images and join us in the fun over at Craft Your Passion - You never know what you might win!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Make it Monday - #59 - Linky Party
Whoopsi Daisy Challenges - Free and Easy
Charisma Cardz Challenges - #41 - In Stitches
Karen Doodles - Animal Antics

Delicious Doodles - Challenge #1 - Fresh Start

So, this is my first official challenge as a member of the Delicious Doodles design team. Our challenge for the next couple of weeks is "Fresh Start" - use something new. Well, just about everything on this one is new. The wonderful image "Jewelled Fairy" is new to me, the design team is new to me and this is only the second time I have tried airbrushing. For some reason, the night sky seems to fit quite a few of Teri's wonderful images. I love the way it sets off the oranges in this image. I colored her with my Copics, and the sky is airbrushed and spattered. I added jewels all over the image and then again as accents on the edges. I'm thrilled with the way it turned out... Come play with us over at Delicious Doodles Challenges! I'd love to see what you come up with!
I would like to enter this card in these challenges:
Make It Monday #52 - Linky Party
Charisma Cardz - #35 - Anything Goes
Whoopsi Daisy - Autumn Colors
Thanks for stopping by!

Giving Destress Ink's a Try...

Recently I discovered the amazing technique of coloring stamped images with Ranger's Distress Ink. It might not be new to everyone, but it is new to me. I have a drawer full of these awesome inks, so today I decided to give it a try. It took a couple of messed up images to finally get one that I liked, but now I'm in love with the look. I think it's such a different style than I'm used to with my Copics. I love the difference and it really seemed to fit the look I was going for today. I added some modeling past to the edges of the image, then stipple brushed some inks on to it. In fact, most everything on this page has been stippled with tea dye ink to tone it down. The flowers are handmade because I didn't have any in my stash that matched the color scheme. I like the way they turned out as well. Tip: It's always nice to be able to match your papers and making your own gives you that freedom. I am really thrilled with the way this one came out!

I would like to enter this one in the following challenges:

Pollycraft Monday - #97 - use ribbon and flowers - design team call

Just Add Ink - #72 - color something

Southern Girls Challenge - #21 - anythign goes

The Paper Shelter - #18 - punches and dies
