Happy Birthday Party Animal

Here today to share this birthday card I made for my granddaughter who is about to turn 5.  I can't believe she is 5 already!  Ugh!

I created this using some circle die cuts and a photo strip frame from Spellbinders.  The stamps are something I borrowed from a friend at a crop I went to, and just fit into the windows perfectly.

Think I'll throw this into some challenges:

Dare to be fabulous!

Just a quick pop in today to share another make - this one is using one of the versatile and wonderful stamps from Art Impressions.  I find their stuff to be so fun to work with - and they have so many designs and options to chose from.  Love 'em!

This one is called Dare to Be Fabulous and let's get real... it is dahling!  The set has some great images and sentiments to pick from and really could be for any occasion.  I added some cute swirly backgrounds to put the image and the sentiment on from Spellbinders call Swirl Delight .  Patterned paper from Die Cuts with a View and a pretty ribbon finish it off.

Happy Birthday - Mo Manning style

I needed a springtime Happy Birthday card for a dear friend who's birthday is tomorrow - so what better image than to pick Mo Manning's "End of Summer" - which to me, looks like spring.

I used my Copics to add color, then a Spellbinder's zigzag edge die to cut it out.  Some bright and colorful patterned paper from my scraps, along with a gingham ribbon and some punched flowers add pizzazz.   The sentiment stamp is from my endless supply of non-descript and unlabeled sentiment stamps.  (What was I thinking way back then...?)

Have a great day!

I craft - what's your superpower?

Popping into blogland to share a make I created this weekend just for fun!  I seem to be drawn to the this color pallet a lot lately!

I honestly have no idea who makes this cute teddy bear stamp - it is acrylic and was floating free in my animal's box of stamps.  Must have gotten it back when I wasn't keeping track of manufacturers at all.  Anyway, I digress....  She is adorable and that's all I know about her.

I used my trusted and true Copics to color him, then just went with the flow of the design papers.  The sentiment stamp is from Whipper Snapper Designs.  The frame for the sentiment is from Spellbinders.

Challenges:

Crafty Catz - anything goes with twist of baby card
A Bit More Time to Craft - anything goes
Crafts Galore Encore - anything goes
Love to Scrap - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - anything goes - twist add a sentiment

Happy Friday!

Hugs to all...

Crafty Catz - week 4

Well it's my last week with Crafty Catz and I have thoroughly enjoyed having this opportunity to play along with them.

This week the sponsor is Time for Tea and the challenge is "Happy Birthday" - I forgot to take a picture of the inside of my card, but it says "Just a note... to wish you a happy birthday!"  Sorry I didn't get around to adding the inside pic - life got in the way this week.

So, I used the Time for Tea image Sunflower Girl to start with.  I colored her up with my Copics.  I fussy cut her out, then used a Spellbinders die to cut a background scalloped oval to place her on.  The bottom edge of the card is cut with a Lawn Fawn border to show the fun floral print paper inside the card.  I used some matching patterned papers to add some color and detail.  The sentiment stamps are from my stash of very old stamps...unsure of the maker.

Now it's your turn... Head on over to Crafty Catz and play along with us.  I am looking forward to seeing what you can do!

Crafty Catz - week 2

Back today with a new make for my guest designer spot at Crafty Catz Challenges.  The sponsor is Lucy Sunshine and I adore this image of the hobo-clown...isn't he just too cute?

After coloring him with Copics, I picked some design papers that accented it, then layered them up.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches and the die cut around it is from Spellbinders.  Simple to put together and will be fun to give away.

Hop on over and join in the fun at Crafty Catz - you could win this image or pick your own from the amazing collection at Lucy Sunshine.  The challenge is "anything goes" and the twist this week is "love is in the air".

With Love - House Mouse fun

Dropping in today to share this new make using another adorable image from House Mouse called Tails of True Love.  It's so simple but so cute!

I used a Taylored Expression die cut for the background, and pieced it together with a bunch of different patterned papers.  I also used a Taylor Expression heart board to add the heart die border on top of the lace.  The "with love" is a Spellbinders die cut and finishes it off.

Think I'll enter this card in some challenges:

Love to Scrap Challenge - have a heart
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Crafting For All Seasons - love is in the air
Crafting By Design - anything goes
Crafty Creations - hearts
House-Mouse challenge - love is all around

Thanks for stopping by!

Guest designer - Through the Craft Room Door

Just a quick post today to show the card I created for a guest designer spotlight over at Through the Craft Room Door.  I created this card using an adorable image from Doctor Digi House, colored with my Copics.  I used one of my layer die cuts from Spellbinders called Radiant Rectangles which just makes putting together a card so easy!  It looks so difficult and fancy, but in reality, it's a breeze.

I think I'll enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Cardmakers - punches or die cuts
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
Paper Girls Challenge - forest friends

Thanks for joining me today!  Have a great day!

Surprise! Penny Black

Back again today with a cute little card I made using a Penny Black stamp called So Kind.  It's a cute little image that could be used for just about any occasion.  I love how sweet it is.  I colored it using my Spetrum Aqua markers and a paint brush dipped in water for an easy water colored look.  I used a new die cut set I just got from Spellbinders called Oval Regalia to frame the image and the sentiment which is also from Penny Black's set called Heartfelt.

I think this card deserves a challenge or two...

Fab 'n' Funky - buttons or bows
Craft Your Passion - anything goes
A Bit More Time to Craft - anything goes
Penny Black & More - one for the girls
Penny Black Saturday Challenge - anything goes

Thanks for the look-see today!

Hugs,
Jodi
